The latest thing we should be concerned about is that the EPA wants to amend the clean water act to include "ALL WATER" in the US including that on private lands. It will include ponds, streams, washes (seasonal or otherwise) and runoffs etc. The proposal is out for public comments right now. Go to EPA website to view and or comment. Wow no guns, no ammo, and now no water. Guess the first 2 are so we can't fight the 3rd.

Hmmm.... "All Water"???

That includes ALL land. And to "protect" that land, you will NOT be able to use lead shot for grouse, pheasant, dove, quail, rabbits --- or target shooting.

They don't need to ban guns. They just need to "back-door ban" the means by which they are employed (effective ammunition). Result: You are left with a safe full of curios. Expensive. useless curios.

I apologize if this seems political. But I'm just responding to a post...

This info comes from the NRA-ILA, Operation Choke Point, a Dept of Justice Initiative that attempts to shut down many categories of legitimate business' including ammunition and firearm sales (see page 9 of the second link). I am sure this has nothing to do with the current lack of smokeless powder or 22 rimfire on dealer shelves.

That left the country in 2008. BTW, I just saw a couple of 1 lb. cannisters of Red Dot for $25 each at a local shop. I'm trying to decide...

As you know that equals $200 for an 8lb jug. I guess it depends on how much you have and how long you think the current situation with shotgun powders will last. My guess another year to three years before it gets better.

Just purchased a 1 lb bottle of Win. WSF for $18. This was new stock as they never had any before. They also had Red Dot and PB 8 pounders but I did not ask the price. Shot was $39 for less than 10 bags - a dollar less for 10 or more.

I had won an auction for some powder from gunbroker and as usual I called the seller to arrange payment and at that time he told me I had to wait because he had to get his hazmat shipping paper work in order. After waiting for a month I emailed him about it and this was his response
Sir: At this time I cannot move any powder outside of my business. The ATF and DOJ and DHS has issued a Industry Advisory of the sale of Black Powder and Smokeless Powders. Retailers and Customers like you are all being effected. V/r, Dave John

Don't sound good!!!

Angel..

Have them give your money back asap or ship the powder. There is nothing in the industry advisory that prevents the sale and shipment of powder. The fact you have waited a month makes me suspicious of the sellers motives much less the BS about the advisory preventing sale and shipment.
