he will really enjoy thsy crawler tractor...I always wanted one of those 40 crawlers...stout for their size...and small enough you can pull on a trailer with a f 150 ford pickup....and pretty simple to work on...Charlie....

A lifetime goal of mine is to own a bulldozer. I will live vicariously through Mills

I want to thank Josh Loewensteiner for this beauty SBT SC!! I’ve been needing one for years and he came through big time!! 1924 production, 32”, 2 3/4” chambers, straight grip, 15” LOP, 1 9/16 DAC, 1 7/8” DAH, .739 bore with .045 choke, 15 slot Hawkins pad. Later model with the pigeon engraved on the floor plate. Marry Christmas to me from Susan (Sammy)!!
Awesome! You will love shooting it!
I guess you are the 1st lucky dog for 2021! Congrats!
No Parkers on my list but I am looking for a pre-64 M70 Featherweight in 30-06.
A small caliber pre 64 Model 70 would be nice. I hope to get more chances to shoot the ones I have too
Very handsome Mike!!! (the GUN...)
Josh is definitely one of the good ones!!
. |
Nice SC Mike, congrats. 45 thou constriction eh, shopping in the mens department brother. I like it. Tell Sammy she did good.:)
He can probably hit them aspirin while they are still aspirin with that one. Hope we get chance at that one this year.
Not a Parker, but I picked up a 1970's model 1100 in 410 on Sunday. Nice wood and metal finish. I shot it today and it was way too much fun.
Except you have to do the "Remington Stoop" to pick up the empties
John, I did that for sure as I tracked down most of my empties. Given everything that is going on lately, I will be reloading everything I can...
I have a 410 Citori and model 42. Someday I would like to have a Parker 410, I will need to plan accordingly and should start saving now. It would be worth it though,,, |
The gun club I learned to shoot at was DuPont's club south of Wilmington, Del. DuPont owned 51% of Remington in those days, and as a result, there was a lot of "Stoopin" going on there
At one time I had an 11-87 28ga skeet. It was a nice gun.

Julia and I bought a matched 410/28 pair of 1100's from Steve Cobb several years ago

Yes it was made in 1976 and is the skeet model(or at least has the skeet barrel). I wasn't sure how it would do on a sporting clays course with such an open choke as I like 410s with tight chokes. However, it did well very well, only a few targets were out of range(or more accurately I couldn't figure out). Very impressed to say the least.
I must admit...I want one in a 28 gauge now too... |
Outstanding! Mine was made in 73, I think. I have never owned a firearm that was so much fun to shoot. Mine is also choked Skeet and it’s very capable of breaking clay IF, and that’s a big if, I do my part.
Our pair is skeet too. This is making me want to shoot them
It's very important that I finish 2021 with a 0000 frame Repro .410 and a field used DHE 28 gauge skeet.
Do it Mills...I shot 6 boxes of shells yesterday and was enjoying every second. I am not an auto guy in shotguns, except for some older A5s, but this 1100 is just delightful. I have a lot of respect for the 410, I think it makes you a better shooter.
My other favorite 410, my Citori is one of the best shooting guns I have ever had(regardless of gauge), some Briley extended chokes really have made that gun into a performer. I take it on a lot of preserve hunts especially when I was first training my dog. I can't believe how well it does on birds. I promise I will start posting about Parkers again! This little 410 was too good not to share... |
Mills - Is your pair one of the matched sets with the weighted forearm caps?

can somebody please explain to me the disclaimer "Plastic Shells Only" ??

Dean, I imagine that it refers to using only plastic for feeding purpose as some older paper shells don’t feed and extract properly causing a malfunction
Thanks Jim.

In 1969, I was buying matched pairs of small gauge 1100s from Bill Jaqua for $298.00 shipped. I would resell them for $325.00 or $350.00 and thought I was doing well.
So the first quarter of 2021 is already history. I did buy a VH 12/30 for a rainy weather hunting gun and a Fox AE 20/26 from a family breaking up grandpa's estate which may be returned to the stream of commerce. :)
Sold a Parker Grade 2 TLH 10/30, Fox AE 12ga 28", 2 Super Foxes, Parker DH 20ga 26, and a Parker D 10/36. I have one gun on my radar in a upcoming auction. Still trying to keep my overall number to 25 but I decided 30 is a more realistic number :rotf: How about you? What changes have you made???? |
I want something twisty in the barrel department I think. Never owned a Damascus or twist barrel gun.
My wish list has been reduced to three guns. A straight stock 30” graded Parker or Fox 20, a 30” 28 gauge Parker straight stock and 32” Parker 28. I would even consider a pistol grip on that one! I did sell a 20/32” so I need to fill that spot with one of the 3 mentioned. I have decided that the 30” is the ultimate barrel length.
Well, at least your not looking for something difficult to find, Reggie.
