Thank you dean -- I shot the gun in Georgia last week -- I told traci it has everything I like in a parker for quail.

Chuck, I ran Elhews for many years, now a hard driving Llewellin, four years old. I have a soft spot for hard charging pointers, may get another in a few years to team with the setter. I like dogs that move, a ground snuffler or plodder that won't bust brush doesn't do it for me.

Russ if she comes up missing you know where I live. That is one of the sweetest little che's I have held. A real find:bowdown:

We had both growing up. My Grandfather was a field trialer and ran all the old pointer bloodlines (Lester's Wahoo,Guardrail, Paladin Sue etc...) Now 50 years later I am running dogs out of these same bloodlines. It is really neat to have that connection back to my Grandfather. I love all breeds of gundogs and have owned all the pointing lines but the pointers really take me home. We will have to get together next fall and partake of the upland life. The female in the upper set of photos with my big male is elhew's little eunice out of snakefoot. She is one of the best grouse dogs I have ever hunted over! below is a couple of pictures of her littermate Traci's male dog "Wallace" which happens to be Rich's adopted birddog. Kansas quail and a mint ghe 28ga with a ball grip.

Damn, Chuck. You bring a tear to my eye.

Shortstop, out of Snakefoot. A helluva big running, hard charging, alpha dog, first in line birddog. Cimarron County Kansas. Died in 2011.

Its my cell phone background image.

By the way, the last picture. Not too shabby, all three.

I would cry for a month to lose one of my dogs -- I had a damn fine dog that developed a stomach tumor this year out of Fibber Mcgee "Buddy" and it still pains me to go out to the kennel and not see him waiting for his turn! God bless these old warriors of the prairie and field. Buddy is in front with Buster backing. He was such a kind old soul
