Yes, that was made when Parker was experimenting with roll stamped engraving. I have the "same" gun in 12 gauge on a 1 frame. Considering the technology of the time, the roll stamping is very good. I am surprised that Parker did not continue to use it on their low grades.

This O grade actually does have features like border engraving and checkering. O grades made earier than this would have been very plain with none of these mentioned attributes.

This is a very stout gun. Someone has scoured the surface, most unfortunate, as it de values the gun. It does not devalue the gun as a shooter and the gun might prove a fine field gun. I shoot my old hammer 10 ga and I am pleased with the results. David
