it looks just like stainless steel pad. I buy it at Gordons. Have to see what it does on blueing.

Wow these sound great! I've always used something similar, what's called a Chore Girl. They're a copper scouring pad, you buy them at the grocery store in the dish soap aisle. You've got to watch though, and make sure you get them that are 100% copper. Also bronze wool works great too, though it's really expensive. I'll have to buy a sack of these Frontier pads to test out. I'm constantly cleaning up old tools and knives, guns too obviously.

Now I know I am older than you Destry and when I was a kid they were indeed called Chore Girls but sometime during the frenzy of political correctness they had their name changed to Chore Boys, I believe quite awhile ago. Am I right, or is this a regional issue?

I think you're right! The ones I've got are vintage NOS, I dug them out of an old kitchen cabinet at an estate sale. They're the Chore Girl variety for sure.

I've got them, a copper scraper for really tough gun rust, and bronze wool too. But I'm still intrigued by these Frontier brand pads. I emailed about a lot price but haven't heard anything yet.

Destry: I just ordered and received a gross of them and they cost me 230.00 dollars plus shipping so you see it really cuts the cost. I will get rid of most of them this week end at a gun show that I put on.Thomas
