Thank you for the pictures sir. Very well done.

Was COB shooting a lifter?

How about a short report of the Parkers shot by our boys/girls at the event.

Daryl Corona 06-04-2012 08:49 PM

It was good to see you again Destry. Don't wait so long between appearances at these events. Bill, we missed you and the lovely Linda. The food, libation and the company at the Tall Pines GC was hard to beat. Hope you're feeling better.

Rich Anderson 06-04-2012 08:57 PM

John yes I'm shooting a grade 1 16ga lifter. I dug her out of the safe for some fresh air. I also shot the Hollywood gun a GHE 16ga skeet and a DHE 30 inch vent rib 20, Chuck Bishop has been bitten by the small bore bug when I lent him a DHE 20 30 inch gun I recently adopted at the Southern:)

John Truitt 06-04-2012 09:08 PM

Very cool. does your lifter have the longer frame with a check hook?

Rich Anderson 06-04-2012 09:22 PM

To be honest John I don't recall if it has the check hook or not. I really don't shoot it much. It's in the 13K serial number range. I recently picked up an English 16ga hammer gun so I'll most likely get her out more often as it was fun shooting the old girl.

Daryl Corona 06-04-2012 09:22 PM

Well John this could take a while. I shot 5 rounds of clays and 1 round of 5 stand all with different guns. Everyone else kind of followed suit. Yes, Rich was shooting a 16ga. lifter, he also shot the Hollywood gun, a newly acquired 20ga. vent rib 30", my 32" double trap. My guns included a 32" DHE 20, the 32" 16 that I bought from you,a 26" VHE skeet 20, a 30" VHE 28, Dave S. shot his newly acquired 12, 26" skeet, Robin L. shot his lovely A grade 16, Mike Smith, a new member, shot a great 12 DHE, 28" 1 frame, Dean shot his 28 VHE and Larry F. was shooting his B if I'm not mistaken. Chuck B. shot his 12 GH dam 30", Deb F. shot her new CH 12 ( I think it was a CH), Craig L. from the Fox boys shot his newly acquired and smoking condition GH dam 30", Dave P. shot his underlifter 12 I think. Mike Smith came all the way from NC. You and Carl should really put this shoot on your schedule for next year. You would love the Bo Whoop and the clays course is great. I hope I did'nt leave anyone out but my brain is coming down off the high I achieved over the weekend and it is pretty tired. I'm sure others will chime in with their guns.

John Truitt 06-04-2012 10:03 PM

Sounds like you all had a great time. Carl and I talked about it a few years ago. We may have to revisit the idea for next year.

Dean Romig 06-04-2012 10:15 PM

As Daryl said, I shot my 28 ga. VHE 00-Frame on the big bore course and shot fairly well with it. On Saturday I shot one of my 16 ga. T/A LAM-1 28" 0-Frames and couldn't seem to get it together so I shot the 28 ga. VHE again hoping to redeem myself but suffered the same maladys... decided to tear up my score cards and just have fun with good friends. Friendship and comraderie is what makes this event what it is. I think most of us can say it was just a great social event with a lot of shooting thrown in.

Mark Ouellette 06-04-2012 10:26 PM

I shot a round with a DH 10 Gauge on a #2 frame weighing 8 lb 2 oz. It's a nice light 10. I shot the second round with an early Lefever EE. I also shot the small bore course with a small bore, an AH Fox HE Super Fox 32".

Daryl Corona 06-04-2012 10:45 PM

Mark, you did an admirable job with that big Fox on those smallbore targets. Some of them were in your face and crossing at 20yds. so when you connected there was just dust. Thanks for all the great photos. I could'nt agree more. This shoot is becoming the best venue for the guns, guys and shooting.
