Bill Murphy 02-14-2012 05:39 PM

Those #5 frames have to be very scarce.

Thomas L. Benson Sr. 02-14-2012 06:10 PM

Bill: You would be hard pressed to find another one but it is possible. Thomas

Some interesting information on the weights:
I seemed to have lost my most recent recordings of guns so here is what I had in the more distant past or still have in the safe.

10ga 0 lifter #2 frame 1877 28" twist bbls 4^10
10ga 2 lifter #3 frame 34" 1879 laminated bbls 6^7
10 ga D top lever #3 frame 30" 1886 damascus bbls 6^0
10ga DH #3 frame 32" 1891 damascus bbls 6^1
10ga CH #2 frame 30" 1892 Bernard bbls 4^11

I had a 5 frame lifter and I am thinking it was around 7 something

Kurt

The variety is interesting! My 1886 Toplever 10 has 30" Laminated barrels marked '5'. It makes for a svelte 10 bore compared to some. Cheers!
