them old race cars make a lotta people go to the track...i like the round trackers but 1/4 milers are my favorites...i got a old blue tick hound and if you ever go out the door with gun in hand he will go tree a squirl or something within a few minutes...have to tie him up when i go deer hunting forgot a couple times and it want be long till hes found me...usally go to the truck and let him in the cab till im done hunting..... charlie

Put the two Ithaca's back in the safe today after I cleaned them and then pulled the Ed Kettner drilling out . Gonna see if I can get the cartridges going for that one !

I had originally thought I could use 444 Marlin cases but it looks as if they are about .04" to short and I can do a better job with 405 WCF cases and a set of CH4D dies !

Also need to tighten the old gun up just a hair as well . "Cartridges of the World" claims the 10.75x65R Collath shot a 200 grain bullet at modest velocity . I already have a 207 grain 44 cal GC mold . But the book claims this cartridge is .424" so I'll size them in a .429" die and use air cooled wheelweights and it should be fine .

That gun with a slug in the rifle barrel and #1 Buck in both shotgun barrels should be pretty decent !

I have another drilling thats servicable as well !
That ones a Kerner 16x16-7x57R !
It should be a comparative breeze to load for as I already have 7x57 dies and plenty of bullets . All I need to do is bite the bullet and buy a box or two of the not so cheap Norma brass !
This one however does not have visible hammers

ive got a 16x16x57r also its a suhl made gun by griffins also a hammereless gun...its deadly on deer...i watch gunbroker for the 7x57r ammo sometimes a cheap box slips by and i get lucky... these guns are the best.... charlie

Well Charlie I was thinking I might miss out on a range trip this coming week being Speed Weeks and all that !

But after getting the shrubbery chopped saturday and getting my rifle loading done an hour or so ago . As long as the weather looks good monday or tuesdat afternoon I should stay in schedule !

From wednesday until the follwing monday I doubt if I'll be much good for shooting anything . And if the 88 car runs very well I am POSITIVE I won't be much good !
If thats the case I might drink more then my self imposed two beers a race LOL's !

Oh yeah I almost forgot !

I now have about 110 empty 10 gauge 2 7/8" hulls left over from friday morning . I suppose I should get them redone saturday and sunday morning . After using Ponsness Warren 800 presses for so many years , using a MEC 600JR for the 10 gauge seems slow as heck :banghead:

coparing them loaders would be like putting a T MODEL in the race with the no 88 car...i only have the 600 junior loaders compared to hand loading there the fastest thing on my bench... gotta go pound on a 57 fender not a 57 primer for a while.... charlie
