Holding it in the same old places over & over and what do you expect,
''NEW RESULTS'', Nope it will be the same old stuff and same Old Guys!

Harry

Harry,
You can't keep moving an event from venue to venue, year after year, and expect people to be able to mark their calendars. Set a date and a venue and keep it there for a few years. Just my opinion and I'm sure yours will differ.

The first time I went to Hausmann's, too many years ago, I was following my GPS and ended up in the dooryard of a farm. I waved at the woman standing there, and backed out. Five minutes later, I was back in her yard. She walked over to me and said so calmly "If I knew you were coming back so soon I would have put the coffee pot on." I would imagine it wasn't the first time because she told me, without asking, how to get to Flynn Rd.

Edgar , the first time I went to Hausmanns, I followed my GPS and think I ended up in that same farmers yard, he promptly asked me if I was looking for Hausmanns.
The next year I dead ended into a cemetery.
No trouble getting there now. Would love to shoot with you again there.

[QUOTE=Dean Romig;414642]Vintage cup in October???

But it has always been in September… :crying:

Right there with you Deanno!! For 25+ years, The Vintage Cup was held toward the end of September. It was a hallowed weekend, much like opening day of trout, deer and grouse season, circled in red on the calendar months in advance. An epic, marketing blunder to move off of those dates! Akin to moving The Southern to July, The Super Bowl to March or playing The Masters in October. That dog just don't hunt and consequently, the AHFCA will be sitting this one out. :banghead::cuss::banghead:

Hopkins is a very professional operation for sporting clays. George has been in the business since the beginning of the sport. However, the vendor response was very poor the first year the Vintagers was held there. The Vintagers was a great vendor venue when it was held in Millbrook, and even at Pintail Point. It was a real "Game Fair" British style. It could be the same atmosphere in Maryland at Hopkins. But how does anyone do that? Beats me. I think the vendors are tired, and running out of big spenders. I hope more of the original vendors come back this year.
