That's a beauty Gerry.

That is a beautiful gun Gerry. I had GHE in the same configuration that was my go-to gun. As everyone has suggested, I used to walk with it open and close it when I was ready for actin. Some people are turned off by a safety delete gun, I really enjoy them. I think it's a neat feature.

I also love that era of engraving. Every thing is cut a little deeper similar to a typical C grade.

Nice letter in that it spells out the butt treatment, long chambers, and the safety delete. I have seen the long chambers on 0 frame guns previously and it always makes me wonder why, or why not a 1 frame or heavier gun.

Back to your original question about value and this is just my opinion. I do not feel that the factory safety delete on its own adds value to this gun. It would IMO if it were in mint collector condition. Considering the fact that this one also has factory 2 7/8 chambers the 2 options combined would add value for me. Now if it also had a trap comb/flute to complete the entire ensemble of a live bird/target purpose built gun that would be the epitome and add the most value. Just my proverbial 2 cents. Nice gun any way you slice it. Congrats !
