Harry,
I know most don’t favor 26” right now but I rather enjoy an open choked 26” gun. Our sporting clays course seems to prefer it. Targets mostly in the 20-30 yard range in the woods. Great practice for grouse hunting if we only had some grouse to hunt around here. I seemed to have gained a few 26” guns over time. This A1, a 28ga DHE repro and an original CHE. A while back the short barreled guns were what many collectors wanted. I wonder if that is why Parker Reproductions made so many with at least one set of 26” barrels. |
I like short barrels for brush shooting. Harry can have the single trigger guns :)

Garry,
When it comes to hunting I prefer double triggers also. The sporting clays course doesn’t have those wild flushes so I am ok with a single trigger there. I wish my 28 ga repro had double triggers but it’s imp/mod chokes are so tight it doesn’t matter as much. Besides which finding a double trigger 28 ga repro is akin to finding Honus Wagner baseball card. |

Thanks Garry. I think you picked up an AHE a couple of years back that this gun is engraved similar to other than it has two dogs on the floor plate where this gun has them on the sides.

What a beauty. Good shooting.
