The better part of 9 years as a display gun. Imagine the hands it passed through. I wonder how many guns its’s influence sold. Looks like it eventually got to spend some time in the field or marsh.

My vote would be The Marsh !

My BH grade ten that spent time at the 1893 World's Fair also spent time holding up liquor stores because it has 18" barrels and the stock was replaced, so the original stock was probably cut off behind the pistol grip.

William; These two AH's were in the 1897 Madison Sq. Garden show along with your A. 85259 is a straight grip 30" 12ga and 83183 is a pistol grip 10ga 30" gun. Also, is a picture of the Parker booth at the 1897 MSG show. Amazing the number of show guns have surfaced. Good luck with your A it's a very cool gun.

Thanks for that. Very Interesting.

All those shows, all those miles. And then they sold it for $75. Wonder what SD&G sold it for?

Craig, do you know where/when that picture of Parker Bros. display was taken?

It’s Parkers like these, along with their stories, that make Parker guns so darn interesting and intriguing.
