In the next world, it would be more friendly for dog years and human years to be reversed. I have seventy four years of pointing dogs, and I wish it had been just one dog, not one dog every ten or twelve years. I would have been happy to live my entire life with any of my dogs, if given the chance.

I like your idea, Bill. In my next world all my dogs will be with me and birds will be plentiful. I'll likely still shoot poorly, but you can't have everything in heaven.

She was a great dog Phil. I was fortunate to hunt behind her a couple times. I'm so sorry, I know how you feel. I miss my setters.
