Condition is the same, or worse, as is the gauge---12. So if this gun were such a steal at $1800, why didn't all those sellers of $4,000 12 gauge DHs bid it up for themselves? Some folks just haven't come to terms with the effect that this economy has had on vintage gun values. The plain fact of the matter is that its currently a buyers' market, and the Parkers that are being listed over and over again without drawing a bid are grossly over priced in the current economy. Anyone who doesn't believe that has plenty of investment opportunities in damascus 12 gauge DHs at $4,000 a pop on GunBroker.

There are those who, for reasons unknown to us, MUST sell their "Damascus DH 12 gauge guns" and unfortunately take a severe beating because it is a "buyer's market"... and there are those who don't.

Like my Timberdoodle avatar friend stated, It is a buyer's market! Best to hold on to your guns, land, vacation home, and mutual funds for now. In a few years the market will improve. It always does! Over on the doublegunshop.com bbs Drew Hause posted about the market drop of 1909 and how it affected the retail prices of SxS's!
