If it were me I’d forget the 410 and look for a 20 . Easier to find and usually less pricey even in the very utilitarian choices .

Most of us who enjoy .410s for hunting have S X Ss in most of the other gauges as well. It's not always about what's the most efficient. People around here look at me like I'm crazy when I show up at a dove shoot with a .410. But, the truth is, with proper size shot, and appropriate loading and choke, it's a deadly little gun.

I carry a .410 in the truck around the farm often. Mine is so light it is truly a one-handed gun, if need be.

Thanks for the heads up Rick... I was able to buy a used Lefever Nitro Special yesterday close to home that will work for me.

I have a Western Arms Long Range and it is a great gun. I had a Crescent Arms hammer gun which was also a cool gun and it shot well. I had since sold it and use a Parker for those events. Can't go wrong with Nitro Special/Western Arms or a good condition Crescent.
