Or, if this gun does indeed have a 14 7/8" LOP it might be rare in the sense there probably weren't a lot of Repros ordered with a custom LOP.

Greg,

Why don't you think many people would want a DT, PG, and small beavertail option?

I just wish the repros were made with a bit more drop.

Allen I had that drop problem with my repro 20 and after too many years hit upon lengthening the stock by using a slip on pad. The extra inch moved my cheek back enough to lower the drop just enough to give me the drop i needed. I do not like covering the skeleton butt but i now shoot it so much better.

It's not that people don't want them. There are, of course, quite a few that do. But, based solely upon the frequency of this particular trifecta of configurations available (PG, BT, DT) that I've seen in more than 35 years of interest in Parker Reproductions, I have seen far fewer of them than other configurations. If the demand was there, don't you think that there would have been more of this configuration produced?

Perhaps others that have followed the Repro market over the decades may have a different opinion on the numbers produced in each of the various configurations available -- and that's okay, as we all have opinions.

I like the BTFE on the 28ga Reproduction guns better than any other Repro or original beavertail. Admittedly I am a splinter addict in all hunting guns, but Repro 28 guns with BT feel more like a semi BT.

I have been looking to purchase a double trigger capped grip 28ga Reproduction gun for a while now and just haven’t found the right one at the right number yet. I have only missed a few with mild haunting, and the cost to play has been going up.

You've heard the old saying !

Everythings bigger in Texas

, well now that includes prices as well :rotf:

A few years ago this gentleman purchased a model 21 from me at what I believe was a good price.
12 gauge, 26” barrels, WS1/WS2
Within a few weeks it appears on his desk at twice the price.
If you don’t ask........

It looks like he dropped the price a little. He must have been following this thread! Ha!

Just my thought regarding the double trigger option on the repro 28s. Since these are "modern" guns, most of today's shooters want single triggers whether selective or not. For various reasons the don't want a double trigger, and honestly, none of those reasons are valid if you really dig into them. BUT, that doesn't change the opinion of the majority of modern shooters.

For Skeet and trap where you know exactly where your next target will be coming fron, and at what distance you’ll be taking it, plus the fact that your gun will be pre-mounted, it only makes sense that your gun has a single selective trigger. For sporting clays in its various forms, and for most hunting situations, I’ll take double triggers every single time for a much faster selection of choke or barrel.
