Nope, the banner came from our buddy Mr. Suponski and the tablecloths (2 ) were sent by Brian Hornicek. Don't know where or how they go them. Were they the missing items? Don't know but they didn't indicate they got them from the Vintage Cup last year or I think they would have said so.

Pretty strange, but I’ll drop my quest to find them - they’ll turn up someday...

I think I saw a bunch of LC Smith shooters cleaning with maroon patches..... just funning you. But fun it was! Highlights.....Hats off to Randy Roberts aka ...Have Long Barrels Will Travel, very impressive shooting handicapped as he was with the antics of Harold and I. Rock Mountain you all ROCK! I thought it wonderful to see a Boy Scout Troop work as trappers. I greatly appreciated seeing the youth award. Very nice prize! Lancaster County was represented well by their youth S x S shooters. I heard more than one comment of “ quick hands and good eyes”! Pro/Am event - shot like a Protector was added entertainment, and great fun to watch. Entertaining targets - I went 6 x off the trampoline so like someone said prior “more trampoline “. Now the Rock Mountain version of the rabbit.... think it got a new name “Expletive Kangaroo “ because rabbits don’t hop that high. Well they maybe do there in the Endless Mountain country because I did see a bobcat driving in. I managed to not hit the bobcat, didn’t hit any of the kangaroos either. We got a good dose of grouse coming out of trees, and squirrel gliders jumping off the mountain tops. Little bitty black squirrel gliders. Very interesting use of different colors. My compliments to Mike, you made all the courses fun and I am looking forward to getting another shot at them next year. |
That’s a great report Brett - more and more I wish I was there...
Maroon patches - Good one!!! :biglaugh: . |
Next year I hope my life is back to normal and will be able to attend. It sounds like to much fun to miss again.

Just got back and got the truck unloaded, now to sort through that mountain (no pun intended) of stuff. this was my first trip to the Rock. I had heard nothing but positive comments about the facility and the quality of the targets in the past. I can say without doubt that the targets, the facility, and the event in question lived up to the hype, I had a really great time. Special thanks to Brett, Frank, Harold, and Chuck for letting me hang out and shoot with them. We all got along well and had a really good time. There were also several folks there that I had never met in the past so I made a lot of new acquaintances as well. Please do put this on your list for next year, you will not be sorry. Now off to sort through that mountain of stuff. Almost forgot, special thanks to Mike and Sam, great job !

Just saw on the Lefever forums where Daryl Corona won the Uncle Dan Cup competition. Good shooting Daryl--were you shooting that little 20 H grade?
|
There was a provision that a smaller bore size would bump a larger size on tied scores, but Daryl Didnt need it as he took high overall with the 20g.
|
Yes I was Harold. For me there is just something magical with these smallbores and that little H grade just points like my finger. All three of my wins were with smallbores. One with the Parker 28, one with the Lefever and one with a Wm. Ford 20 hammer.
Next time I really want to shoot with you and Brett with Mista Bishop thrown in for good luck. Great seeing everyone again and not seeing everyone walking around with a mask for a change.:banghead: BTW- Great shooting Randy. Would love to shoot with you next time we are blessed with one of these events. |
