The last SC I bought had a non-original buttstock and no forend at all and it cost me $1,300.

I think $2,500+/- is a reasonable price for a used but not abused gun in original condition is about right. I know I wouldn't sell mine for less than $2,500. But mine has great provenance (me):rolleyes:

I've purchased 4 SC's, each $3000+. Sold two, each $3000+. I did pick up an SB for $2000, but the stock had been altered and in need of attention. After Brian Dudley worked some of his magic, it is now my go to gun for singles. I also acquired a really nice SA but we won't talk about that lest my wife should happen upon this post. That's been my experience but I feel compelled to add that my mother always said I had more money than sense.
