The K32/R32 is essentially the same gun. The K80 is an updated version of the K32, but also basically the same gun. I’ve owned all three. The main difference in the barrels is the size of the trunions. The R32 and early K32 used a smaller one. The later K32 and K80 use larger ones. These are easily changed. They make no difference in the function of the gun. Some K-gun guys will make a big deal about coil springs versus leaf springs. I considered changing them but in talking to Ernest Marlette, one of the most noted Krieghoff gunsmiths in the US, he would be happy to change the springs and charge me accordingly. Or, for $5 he’d sell me two replacement leaf springs to keep on hand. In 30 plus years of working on Krieghoffs, he’d seen precisely two break. I kept my K-32 as is.

I agree with Joe. All of my Krieghoff 32s are original with no updates and work just fine. My favorite 32 is 52 years old and humming right along.
