When the 401s and the 457s went down the tubes, the shotguns went down a bit slower, at least the Parkers did. I have never gone to a "stock site" on the internet or a "stock show" on a Saturday afternoon and bought common stock for sixty cents on the dollar.

In 35 years, I have only had one wife but I have had quite a few bird dogs...and Parkers...but thanks for the advice...

The only time I've had a conversation with my wife over buying a gun was when I wanted (and purchased) a high condition DHE 20 with all the options, SST, VR, BTF straight stock. I needed her consent because she needed to sigh the home equity loan for the purchase:eek:

The second safe was explained, one is for rifles the other for shotguns they don't mix well:rotf:

My wife questioned me about a Parker I had bought and I told her it was functional art.
Now she questions me with " How many Parkers do WE own"? For a woman who doesnt hunt or shoot, she sure knows a Parker when she sees one. JVB

This is the way it goes for me! Can I afford it?Do I really need it? Should I tell my wife about it? The answer to the third question is yes when it comes to Parkers! Yet! there is hidden in my man cave a certain Gibson "Les Paul" that I can not bring myself to tell her that I purchased. I have been pondering over this for several months, I really want to play the thing. but then I will be found out. Do you think I should tell her I bought it? I have to I guess.

She has to know.... otherwise, she'll take your guns to a pawn shop when you expire (PC word for "croak")
