I’m not sure. Got mine from Ron Kirby when I became a life member.

Me too John.

It's hard to believe it's over already. I met Mike Moffa, Mike Franzene and Randy Roberts.

We had a great time shooting, the weather was wonderful and some new toys added. All in all perfect.

And don't take that personally because it's not meant that way . But I do not wear name tags , even at companies I've worked for I ALWAYS found a way to get out of it .

Well that may be fine for a club that you have been a member of for thirty-five years and show up several times a week; but for an event that one attends once a year and may miss a year or others may miss, where several hundred people new to you are, it is impractical to approach everyone in that manner.

On our Parker team I had to ask others who half the great winning shooters were as they were shooting. Often the answer was "I don't know." I shook their hands but did not know many names.

On not wearing a badge where you work, great. You've obviously never worked where identification badges are a requirement and refusal to wear results in discipline.

Oh and by the way, I live within fifteen miles of your PSC and I never joined due to that same attitude of several members I met. Don't take it personally.

E.O.M. and conversation. Just my opinions. I'd gladly wear a Parker badge at any event.

I provided an individual name badge which was a 2 1/2 x 3" version of the Parker Gun Post Card/Mailing Label years ago for anyone who wanted one with their name on it for use during events. It became quite popular to the point where it was bootlegged, which I viewed as a good thing, until interest waned and the nonesuch effectively killed it by benign neglect. I have always found a nametag to be a distinct advantage at large events, as in, "Who was that guy with 32" DHE 20 ga. for sale - never got his name...??) Et tu, Jent??

George M. Purtill 04-30-2018 08:46 PM

Kevin a man I know by sight (and even sound), can you post a picture of said badge?
I might want to get this moving along.

Kevin McCormack 04-30-2018 08:52 PM

Let me find an old one, George - all I did was copy the label then print them out by the sheet on Avery name tag forms. Once I got the template spacing right, all I had to do was type in the name(s).

Enjoyed talking with you Rich. I met a bunch of new people this year and it was great. Keeps getting better.

It was great to visit with you Randy and thanks for shooting with us

I'm not going to go back and identify the "no name tag" posters, but they are all wet. Maybe it has something to do with "Virginia Paranoia". Or maybe it's just Virginia posters from Orange, VA. Nothing personal, Pennsylvanians are a bit weird too. I don't understand the one poster's fear.
