They have added some more pictures on the GI site of the barrels and water table !
|
I have never seen a water table without patent date stamps on the upper prong. Am I missing something, or has this water table possibly been annealed, filled in, reground, and re-stamped with the C grade markings? Seems like a lot of work, but Just wondering.

Anything is possible as long as the serial number isn't altered in any way.

Went and looked at this gun again today , I found it to be signed by someone on the edge of the trigger plate it is hard to read but if someone new what they were looking at with a loop it may help with the story behind this gun.
|
And the picture you took of the signature is forthcoming??
. |
I didnt take a picture with my phone but one of employees did to see if we could bring it up better I will call him tomorrow to see if he can add it to GI listing .
|
The photo of the signing is listed on GI hard to make out but its there
|
Enlarging the picture I can make out the word REPRODUCTION. Can't make heads or tails of the rest in the picture shown.

CHE 16
About 8 years ago I traded a CHE 16gauge with 28" bernard barrels and an extra set of Acme 28" barrels, for a very high condition Parker in 12 gauge! I am happy and I think the member on this board that has the little 16 is happy! Alls well that ends well they say! Gary

As they say "it is what it is". So now that it's revealed to be an upgrade but still a nice hunting/shooter make an offer of what your willing to pay and go from there. You won't find a better/nicer gun in the $10-12K range.
We have all sold guns we regret but $6K for a gun 30 years ago was a lot of money then for a gun. |
