David,
I am also sorry to hear about your place. I am just down the road from you. I was thinking of Rick's place about 2:00am on Saturday morning as I watched one of my neighbor's oak trees come crashing down.
We were blessed.....not much damage.

If Rick is going to cancel, we need more than a sentence on page 3 of a thread on this site. Rick has not said anything on his site yet, Monday, October 9.

He sent an email to his customers yesterday.

I am very sorry to learn of the damage and destruction in Florida and SC and to your places. I only hope nobody was hurt - things can be replaced or rebuilt... people not so much.

for those that are having a hard time accepting the shoot is cancelled I recommend they contact BWQC themselves or check out the southern side by side website.

the cancellation is real folks. as hard as it is to accept it is a fact. I hate it but there has been horrible destruction to the low country area of SC, obviously other areas as well.

Our thoughts and prayers should go out to those folks.

Yes, the Fall Southern is cancelled. Rick will open on Wed. 10/12. He will be able to operate, but the most Georgetown is still without power. Estimate I heard on the local news is one to two weeks for all the power to be restored. As of this morning while I was at Backwoods they did not have power and were operating with a generator. They have no idea when their power will be restored. flooding is the other major issue. Trees are blocking the two different routes that I use to get to Backwoods. That's all the info I have at this time. I hope that helps.

I wish a quick recovery for our good friend, Rick, and his staff and family. If I were able, I would be there to help. Linda's nephew is the young assistant chief of the Horry County Fire and Rescue and he also has his hands full.

Hoping all our members in the Georgetown area fare ok through this mess. The flooding sounds like the biggest threat now
