It appears to have a sling attachment on the barrel. So the hole in the stock may have been for a sling. The little 20 gauge hammer gun I had in Italy 40+ years ago had sling attachments and I loved the configuration.

I have a 16 Kerner with swivels thats okay . But this Parker I'm about 200% sure didn't leave the factory that way .

The barrel swivel stud in the pics doesn't look terribly bad but I betcha the one in the stock was a plain old Uncle Mike's swivel stud . I may get a set of the Jerry Miller two screws swivel stud bases . Then plug the hole and inlet a place for the two screw stud base .

Or and highly more likely I'll get Professor Patton to take care of the hole in the buttstock and I'll plug the two holes in the under rib myself .

Well the seller got my certified funds today along with my UPS insured shipping label . He sent me a message that UPS would have it today . So coming from New Jersey to Virginia I should receive it Friday .

By using the UPS tracking number I ascertained that the gun "should be" delivered Friday !

The Parker arrived today . And to be honest it exceeded what I was expecting by a good bit !

The bores in this thing are like mirrors , the barrel rang true when I tapped them , all the pertitnent places had matching serial numbers and the gun locks up tight and on face . I think the stock had been refinished or finish added .

Good buy Craig

So. Did the serial number end in the 60's

EH and NH Parkers are great working guns. I know several of us on here who own and shoot them. You see photos of A grades and high condition Parkers in museums. You see photos of EH and NH's in duck boats.

Yes 63 .

He had told me the number a few months back and for some reason 91116 kept popping in my head .
