Here's a Louis Vuitton hard case made in the fifties that will be custom fit for the pair of guns you designate. only about 7000 Pounds |
Weight or dollars? Either way, it doesn't matter

I am in no way a Klassy traveller. I put my doubles in short hard cases I bought at Dick's for any long hauls. When I head out hunting I use a cloth zipper case that probably runs about $15, along with a silicone sock over the gun while travelling in a vehicle to my hunting spot. Let's me get quick access to my guns in case a grouse steps out in the road!

And to think everyone used to have a gun rack in their back window.

seen a fellow with a gunrack in truck today there was a remington 1148 in the rack...charlie

In most places anymore some low life would break into your truck and steel the gun. We used to leave a gun in the rack year round and no one bothered it.

I remember using those a long time ago. Today in Massachusetts keeping a gun in such a rack is considered "brandishment" and the owner subject to arrest. It's hard living here under such ridiculous laws. |
I carried my VHE20 in my '65GMC PU rear window gunrack for some years back in the late 70's. Put a lot of spruce grouse into the frying pan with it.

I like my two gun motor case from Jeff's outfitters. Can carry it in and out of hotels, no one suspects its a gun case, looks like luggage.
