No not this one, I don't think Scott has a letter on it. A 12ga. last year that I saw on a web site had one like it lettered. After looking at gun and condition one would just assume that it may be a Parker pin.

i had the stock off this past nov. the screws looked like i was the only one other than parker that turned them and i found no crack in the head of stock and clean oil free wood . the spanner wrench holes are set at the 9 and 3 oclock on both sides and a flush to sides of cheek wood. who ever did this did an outstanding job! anybody have one of this type of pin job? when this 10 ga came out on an action site there was a 12 ga just like it. i don't know what became of it. thanks scott

Cabelas didn't get the nick name "The Evil Empire" for nothing. I know first hand all to well of their "business" practices buy very low sell as hifg as possible.
Dennis Highby in Sydney nor only runs Cabelas the Gun Libraries are his baby. James I would bitch to him directly. I know of more than one dealer who look at their site and cruise for underpriced guns (and there are some out there) and do well at it. Then there are those overpriced nightmares also. |
I like the re cut checkering. Looks like someone roughed it in with a hatchet and fine finished it with an axe. Jerry

Hi Folks,
I head to Haiti tomorrow - which means I can't really watch over this thread any longer.. I really appreciate the exchange and candid thoughts about Cabela's, and some of you toning down your replies when I sent you a PM... While I have "no horse in this race" - it's nice to see a community have an exchange of ideas without needless bashing.. I know I appreciate it..! Anyway - if folks really, really need to see this thread re-opened - please PM me, and I'll try to get caught up when I return from Haiti, again, OK?? My thanks! John (Thread Closed) |
