Thanks to Dean for the great Parker Pages and thanks to my neighbor, Tom Breeden, for his Fred Gilbert article. I guess Tom talked Dean into beating the DGJ pay scale.

The credit goes to Tom for never raising that topic... to which I would necessarily have had to say "Parker Pages does not compensate for material submitted, sorry."

I'm very glad that Tom chose to have Parker Pages publish his well-written historical article rather than another publication.

So, Dean, you apparently equalled the compensation scale and won the coin toss.

I found George Purtill's artical very interesting esp in that a retired Parker employee recut the checkering in a higher grade pattern therefor IMHO it's factory work. Never say never. Beautifull guns George and a great history to go with them.

I haven't gotten to Mills hunting tale yet but is he trying to get us to believe he shot 4 doves with 4 shells:rotf::rotf::rotf:
