Well, the SB won Class B. She actually beat all the classes and was one target away from runner up to HOA. Which I guess is kind of like kissing your cousin.

Great job John!

Congrats!! And you had the joy of shooting a really beautiful gun-- not some left over stage prop from yet another sequel to Star Wars.

As long as we are discussing SBT's I have my grandfathers SBT which i have been shooting trap with for 25 years, it is amazing and i wouldn't consider another gun! With that being said, people at the club are constantly saying i should polish / shine the receiver section as it is quite patina d. I have never polished the receiver in fear of hurting the value or engraving work. I have gotten both sides of the fence for advice, some say polish it up with something gentle, others say dont touch it as it will damage or decrease the value... any advice? Thank you!

Brian - That's your Grandfather's patina - He put it there... Do you want to erase that?

Brian, two cents and two words:

AS IS……...

Yup, I have never cleaned the receiver of my single barrels.

It is wonderful to have a gun that you will/can shoot a lot that has both "p's"- provenance and patina! Don't touch it other than to shoot it- a LOT!

I think I will just go with that!! Shoot and leave it alone, besides it doesn't totally stand out. Cheers!!!

WELL... your response to them should be that you do not have any experience in doing so and you would like some before doing it to your gun. Then ask if they may offer up their own guns for you to practice on. Since they are so quick to tell you what you should do with yours.
