Just to add to the discussion, one of the managers at the Kittery Trading Post mentioned to me recently that although ammunition and reloading supplies sales increased 800 to 1000 percent in the last year sales of gun cleaning supplies are down 30%. His conclusion, customers are buying lots of ammo, powder and primers etc. and not shooting their guns.

That's a good bet.

It seems to me manufacturers and retailers will have to raise prices in order to bring some equilibrium back to the market by discourageing hoarders. Quite sad the powder situation has come to this and these auctions show how crazy it continues to be.

That is simply insane and I do NOT believe those auctions to be legitimate.

Heck. I've got a pound of Unique that I will let go today for half that price: $205.
Plus HAZMAT fee and shipping of course... |

a little while back a dealer i have done business with a couple times (and found to be a good person to deal with) listed a box of 16 gauge 2 1/2 inch polywad spreader loads - it went for $55 give or take a few pennies - I have 8 boxes I would let go for the bargain price of $50 each. they list on the polywad site for $15 now |
