I hope to try some pheasants Sunday out at the family farm if I get my patterning done on the new repo 28 tomorrow. Don't feel bad about the spelling, I had to look it up (Drahthaar) when you asked me earlier, and he's my dog:)

Rich Anderson 11-14-2014 08:06 PM

Daisy will have two weeks off as our firearm deer season opens tomorrow then it's back to the birds, Grouse and Pheasants. I had a repo 28 for years it's a very nice gun.

Welcome to Heff and Fred!

For Heff, there are many PGCA members in the lower part of Michigan. Paul Harm holds two SxS shoots per year at the Lapeer County Sportsmans Club in Attica Michigan. Crusty Old B'tard (C.O.B.) lives in mid Michigan along with Dollar Grade. Opening Day is somewhere in the south of the state along with me and several others. Then we have a few members in northern Ohio for which their monikers (web names) escape me. I think that I say this for all the PGCA members that we hope to shoot Parkers with you soon!

For Fred, there are members in California, a couple of whom I've traded Parkers with! This is a great organization!

Mark

So somebody explain to me the qualifications to shoot in the Challenge thing at the Spring Southern ?

Is it Parker vs Smith or Parker vs Fox ?

Dean Romig 12-02-2014 09:29 PM

Craig, it is Parker vs. Smith and this spring will mark the twelfth PGCA vs. LCSCA Challenge Cup at Deep River in Sanford, NC.

Mark Ouellette 12-03-2014 06:10 AM

Craig,

Thank you for joining the PGCA!

Can I shoot the prelim twice ?

Once with a Meridian gun and once with a Fulton gun and theoretically qualify for both sides :rotf:

Personally I think the damn thing oughtta be made a trifecta .

Smith vs Fox vs Parker !

And yes I realize some sort of thing similar to this is shot at the Vintage Cup shoot each year between Fox and Parker .

A Meriden Arms gun is not a Parker so it won't qualify for the Challenge but you can shoot whatever you want on the SC course.

I was actually contemplating coming and shooting . But it just dawned on me , I'm leaving April 5th for the Philippines and won't set back down in Dullus until April 25th . After 21 hours of flying I don't see myself driving down for the day and I certainly wouldn't have time to shoot .

If you are a current PGCA Annual or Life Member - would you take a moment to post back in this thread??

While I'm trying to find you in the current printed Roster - some of you are not listed. Therefore, while I'm updating User Titles, you may notice that the "PGCA Member Forums" disappeared..! It simply means I haven't found you in the roster or not aware of your Member Status!! Sorry about that..!

So - if you are a PGCA Member - can you post back in this thread if you are a current PGCA Member (and if you are an annual or Lifer - that will save me some work later, OK?)? That would be great!! (And no - I don't need any other info, OK??)

My thanks!!

John
