Bill Janelle, aka "Dude" (his Ithaca 3 1/2" 10ga ejector NID came from Gunbroker with "Dude" inscribed in on the trigger guard with an electric pencil),there has to be a story behind that. Same gun he used on a goose hunt where he fired two shots missed, reloaded and killed a goose at 70 yards with his 4th shot.

Although turn out was light examples of the Parker gun were well represented with AA, A, B, C, D, G, E, N, V and Trojan grade guns being shot and few drooled on.

It would have been great to be there again this year but, as I said earlier, Grandkids come first.
Here's how my grandson Cameron and I spent a few hours this morning. I know... he still needs a lot of practice but at least most of his arrows go in the right direction. After I made a couple of minor modifications to the bow he hit the corrugated every time. Maybe next year I'll bring Cam to the New Year's Day Shoot. . |
Dean;
looks like you had a great day, I am sure the ghost of Ishi smiled today. |

What a great day Dean. I would love to see Cam up the New Years Shoot next year!

I had a great time today fellas! Nice to see some new faces who drove a long way today as well. Special thanks Pete and Scott for getting there early before everyone else clearing snow, getting the stations and trap machines ready so we all could have fun and shoot Parkers.
As usual, like every year, Bob Weeman's lasagna was fantastic. There were no left overs because I think the baking pan was empty in 20 minutes.... We also have to especially mention Bill Janelle's aka "Dude" venison chili was Dynamite! I wonder if he will make it again next year..... ???? :confused: |
hope you boys took some pictures.... charlie

Dean - The pictures of you and your grandson are precious. I hope your grandson will come to treasure the many things you will experience together, like many of us have done with our own fathers and grandfathers.
|
That's the plan Tom - that's definitely the plan.
