I would ship/take the gun to Larry DelGrego in Illion, NY and have it checked out, cleaned, have the floor plate (and other) screws timed, and probably have a new wear plate fitted. I would guess that the Remington code equals a refinishing. Appears to be a very nice trap gun.

Alex there is a range not far from you if you aren't aware of it. The Sportsman gun and reel. Just off Rt 2 west of Rt57 on the Middleridge Rd exit. Nice place with trap/skeet and a few station sporting clay course that I have never shot. PM me if you want/need more info. Very nice gun by the way. Maybe we can get together and shoot Parkers sometime.

That is a very nice (and valuable) Parker Double Trap gun (although it won't say that anywhere on the gun) and was built, and later had the safety remover, as a dedicated competition trap gun.
You definitely need to get a research letter on your Parker. |
This could have been my grandfather-in-law's Grand American gun. He won (don't know if he was the overall champion or just won a category) in either the 1950's or 60's. My wife's uncle and father both also participated. We believe this gun may have belonged to her grandfather, and may have been the gun he used. The other he owned is an SC built in Ilion after 1934.
I've joined the PGCA and I'm planning to order a letter on this gun. Coincidentially, my son-in-law was born and raised in Ilion! |
Amazing -- this is the very first negative post I've seen on this web site. juangomez, I don't know what your problem is, but take it elsewhere.
