:rotf:
Rich, I would have to sell most of my humble collection.

Angel Cruz 07-20-2012 09:26 AM

Okay, besides the bulge on the left bbl. Why is this gun not selling? Isn't this like one of a kind?
The bulge is an easy fix and it's in a good place. If there's ever a good spot for a bulge.

Rich Anderson 07-20-2012 09:30 AM

I think for the majority of the people out there don't have the inside track as to it's provanance and that coupled with spending almost $15K of discretionary income that may or may not be quite so discretionary at the end of the day.

As I said it's just waiting for you.

Angel Cruz 07-20-2012 10:07 AM

Even without the provinance. This gun is just beautiful!!! But I'm still broke...

calvin humburg 07-20-2012 12:12 PM

I've herd the barrels are pitted???

Bill Murphy 07-20-2012 02:20 PM

Anyone who thinks the gun is not spoken for should try to get G&H to charge their credit card for the cost of the gun. Just saying. That is a pretty good test of sold or not sold, unless you are dealing with Cabela's.

Rich Anderson 07-20-2012 07:42 PM

Bill give them a call with your numbers and report bck to us:whistle:
I'd do it myself but all my discretionary funds and funds that dont know there discretionary are spoken for.

Bill Murphy 07-20-2012 11:09 PM

This gun isn't being given the respect it deserves, but, then, there is a lot of stuff for sale out there. My opinion is that using a fat checkbook to build a collection is becoming as boring for the check writers as it has been for those who watch them work.

Dean Romig 07-21-2012 06:27 AM

I think someone really needs to handle it and appreciate it for what it is. Look for whatever flaws there might be and dismiss the gun or fall in love with it and strike a deal. After all, it is a Grade 6 and those are few and far between. Grade 6 hammerless Parkers in the right condition bring $20K and more and I think a hammer gun in equal condition is, in many ways, more charming or at least as desirable as a hammerless. This one won't last much longer in my opinion... somebody will fall in love with her and bring her home with him.

calvin humburg 07-21-2012 06:47 AM

You are right Dean, now if I only had a fat checkbook! Little tlc and what a gun she is. I might have it casecolored and Barrels blacked but only a dream. Gotta love those Hammer Guns.

Angel Cruz 07-21-2012 07:59 AM

Too bad, no fat check book here. But I'm in love!!

edgarspencer 07-21-2012 09:23 AM

Others may disagree, but I think this gun is priced well below where it ought to be. If a guy could trust his partners, a couple ought to get together, share it for awhile, and, assuming one didn't kill the other, pass it on for a profit.

Bill Murphy 07-21-2012 10:50 AM

Well, it seems that my friends Edgar and Dean and I are on the same page. As I implied earlier, I think the gun is probably already spoken for.

Paul Stafford 07-23-2012 10:06 AM

This gun has your name all over it Angel!!!

Angel Cruz 07-23-2012 11:00 AM

Now all I have to do is come up with 14,500.00 but I would only offer him
13000.00:)

Rich Anderson 07-23-2012 04:34 PM

I know where you can find part of it, it's all downhill from there. i'd be happy to get you started after all what are friends for?

Angel Cruz 07-23-2012 04:51 PM

It's good to know who your friends are!!:rotf:

Angel Cruz 07-23-2012 07:53 PM

Okay, who got her?? Shes' gone!!

Bill Murphy 07-23-2012 08:50 PM

As I implied earlier, "she" has been gone for quite a while.

Rich Anderson 07-23-2012 08:54 PM

Bill do you have insider info?

Eric Estes 07-23-2012 08:54 PM

Are you "her" new caretaker Bill?

Paul Stafford 07-23-2012 09:44 PM

I wanted to be but she was not available. I hope the right person won her! It is an amazing gun!

Richard Flanders 07-24-2012 12:08 AM

I tried early this morning also... too late... oh well.

Bill Murphy 07-24-2012 09:32 AM

No inside information, just an exceptional gun for a fair price. I'm sure it was gone the first day it appeared.

Paul Stafford 08-04-2012 10:27 PM

Did the owner come forward yet?

Bill Murphy 08-11-2012 06:28 PM

I guess I started a bit of a furor when I stated that the lockplates were stepped. I got a lot of slaps on the back of my head from many posters. However, gentlemen that they are, they left their posts in place, wrong or not. That is, except for Bruce, who can't stand to be in error, however minor the error. Under the new system, he would have had to contact the webmaster to have his post deleted. Bruce, what is wrong with being wrong? Deleting posts is a very impolite and disrespectful action on internet forums. It confuses the continuity of the thread and only makes you look bad. Why do you continue to do it after years of being chastised for your bad behavior? How about reinserting your post that gave me a good whack for daring to imply that Parker made stepped sideplates? You've done it before and you'll do it again, and many of us are getting a bit tired of it. I'm not here to make friends, I'm here to share my knowledge and help people buy good guns. What are you here for?
