Just a word to those attending the upcoming Fall Southern. Talking with Morris Baker of RST at this years Vintagers event he informed me that RST will not be in attendance at Backwoods selling their wares. Rick Hemingway has an ample supply of standard velocity shells at Backwoods. Those that desire Low Pressure ammo are advised to make sure you get them before heading to Backwoods

Mills Morrison 10-19-2012 07:27 PM

Thanks for the heads up

Just taking a little break from reloading. Trying to decide if I should bring three cases or four.

Buddy Marson 10-20-2012 09:25 AM

Larry, definitely bring four cases. What you don't shoot you can leave with me so you don't have to haul them back home! Looking forward to seeing you. It's going to be a great time for all who attend!
Buddy

4-5 cases? I guess I need to step up production. I thought I was doing well to get 2 1/2 cases loaded this weekend, including my first attempt at some 2 1/2 16ga loads. Dave, thanks again for posting about the absence of RST.

Mike, you are one sick puppy!

Bill Murphy 10-22-2012 10:25 AM

Rich is right. I talked to Alex a couple of weeks ago. He, Jill, and the dogs are Out West for their annual excursion after the birds. I couldn't talk him into a weekend down south with us.

I think about the time of the meeting they will be in Wisc. or Minn and then swing back through Mich. Again clay birds vs real birds that is the question:whistle: I take real birds, sorry but they cook better then those clay ones.....:rotf:

Mike.Smith 10-22-2012 11:31 AM

Larry, they are actually a really light purple.....

Wait, that didn't help my case much did it? :banghead:

Parker Smith callenge

For those who have never attended the event, how does the challenge work, the qualifying, etc? What gauges are permitted, etc.

David Dwyer 10-22-2012 07:32 PM

The qualifying for this challenge is:you can shoot the five stand as many times as you want, telling them you are a Parker Bros shooter . Your highest score is counted and the five highest scores comprise the Parker team. The team is composed of the three highest scores, the highest female shooter and the highest youth shooter. That team then shoots against the Smith team at 3PM Sat. A bit complicated but this is how Rick Hemingway set it up.

PSC

So its 5 stand and not clays like the Parker Fox challenge.

David Dwyer 10-23-2012 09:24 AM

George
It is five stand like the Parker Smith challenge at Deep River in April

Eric Eis 10-27-2012 09:28 AM

Has anyone heard what the weather is like with that storm coming up the east coast. Hope it's not a washout
