I asked Josh today what the auction grossed. He said $3.1 million. Not too shabby!!

Mike, I think lot #12 was a DHE 16GA. Correct me if I am wrong.

I was interested in that one but $7200.00 was too steep for the condition it was in for me.

I would like to know what the buyer is going to do with that one. I would like to see it if it is restored.

Folks go a bit nuts over 0 frame 16s lately, don’t you think?

It had everything I wanted in one, but the price. I would have had to have a longer stock made. That additional cost would have had me in to deep.

Funny, in my talk with Josh prior to the auction, he had said, "Well, it's not like it's a $7K gun."

As far back as I can remember, and I’ve been a member for 25 years, folks have always been a bit nuts over 0-frame 16s…. Heck, I’ve bought 6 or 7 hammerguns and as many hammerless 0-frame 16s and still have several. Aside from a 28 gauge I find the 0-frame 16 to be just about as nice to handle and shoot.

Omg those little girly guns don’t hold a candle to a nice light six frame thirty four inch 8 gauge . NOT ! I think I picked up a rather decent VHE 12 gauge two frame thirty two inch gun to be my light gun now . All my bs aside I’m kinda partial to a 1 frame 16 gauge 26” straight stocked skeet gun in my present acccumulation .

Dean Romig 03-04-2025 07:49 AM

I have a Trojan 16 on the 1-frame with 26" barrels that is about as sweet handling a gun as any 0-frame I've ever had.

My first Parker - a 16 Trojan 28” - And still the best - super glued stock and all :)

allen newell 03-06-2025 10:17 AM

Dean, my Trojan 20 with 26 inch barrels is a joy to shoot

I have a Trojan 20 too Allen and it’s a sweetheart to shoot.
I bought it from our good Pennsylvania friend and PGCA member Russ Jackson.

My 20 gauge Trojan with 30" barrels is also a joy to shoot.

Craig Larter 03-06-2025 05:54 PM

Any forum users that were buyers at the G&D auction? Nothing for me but I did sell 3 Parkers and one Fox, one Parker didn't make my reserve which is fine. I have some money in my pocket for the Southern.

Hmmm… does the PGCA Research Letter support those barrels Bill?

My stock answer, my friend: Yup.
