A Parker 16 ga with no more than 2 1/2 DAH for the Spring Southern. Beyond that a 20 ga Poli.

Still waiting for a 32" VHE 28 gauge. This is kind of like a chichuahua chasing a dump truck. If I caught one I wouldn't know what to do with it!

And I thought I wanted a difficult one in a VHE 28 ga with 30” barrels

Heck I’d be happy with a 28 ga VH or VHE on an 0 or 00 frame as long as it was 30”

Now, I'd be willing to put some money down that says you would absolutely know what to do with such a gun.

I so appreciate this organization. Although we are pretty isolated here in the middle-middle, as I like to refer to it, I've managed to meet a few members in person, and have struck up good correspondence with several others.

AND, it may be that I get to check one of my wish list guns off because of a very nice member who contacted me via PM.

As I have stated before, this Association is worth the price of membership many fold over.

A BH 16??? Plus a straight stock?!?!

Craig Larter 12-15-2021 04:44 PM

I kinda hope a 30 or 32 inch 28ga comes to market in 22, it will be fun watching the knife fight. Now if a 20ga CH or BH Damascus comes to market I would most likely join the fight. :rotf:

Mills Morrison 12-15-2021 04:55 PM

Maybe a BH Widgeon Duck Club gun will surface. I can't remember if there is one or two.

Lefever 8 Gauge

All I want is Craig's 8 gauge Lefever, although I'm not sure if my wallet is deep enough:crying:

Do you need my number there Craig:rolleyes:

Mills Morrison 12-15-2021 05:03 PM

A Lefever 8 sold at auction a few years ago for a song. I found out about it after the fact, unfortunately.

Craig Larter 12-15-2021 05:22 PM

I would like to own a LC Smith 8ga. but they seem very pricey in similar condition compared to Parker and Lefever 8's.
Mills good luck on the Widgeon BH but Mark Kircher would make it very expensive for you :rotf:

In sixty some years of hunting for Parkers, I have never had a wish list or a shopping list. I pick them as I see them. Using this system, I have actually found a few.

charlie cleveland 12-15-2021 05:46 PM

While I go along with that , at this point in my life I need to be a bit more selective and pass by some I wouldn’t have earlier .

Have you seen than LC Smith 8 gauge on GB ? Looks like the seller went down 7k on his asking price within a week now at 32k. Although Im pretty sure what would be like the sister gun to it sold at auction in 2017 for around 21k it was engraved with a woodcock instead of a quail though.

I don't plan on bidding against Mark. I just want to see it.

Bill Murphy 12-16-2021 11:09 AM

Milton, can you post an item number or link to the 32K L.C. Smith eight? I can't find it on gunbroker.

I think my own wants have lessened since my original post . A Remington era 20 gauge skeet to match the 12 I have and a 20 gauge V or D that’s 32” and choked tight . Now day after tommorrow that could and most likely will change again :rotf:

bob weeman 12-19-2021 11:00 AM

That 8 gauge Smith is in a shop close by that I frequent often. I have known Howell since the 80's and bought several guns there. Have not been by there lately but will have to see if I can get over and take a look. Way out of my price range but would be interesting to see. My wish list is on hold until I sell my Remington 1894 CE 10 gauge. It is a very tight shooting gun but in too nice a condition for me to use. I like the older well used or customized guns for less money. I figure they must have been well liked by someone because they were well used and a good shooter. When the wish list is back in action a Remington 32 is on the list. I am very much into Maine deer rifles and have always wanted to re-bore a Winchester 100 to 358...thats on the list too. The top wish is a happy and healthy year for my family, friends and myself....

John Bastiani 12-19-2021 11:28 AM

Since I got my early Christmas present a few weeks ago.(a beautiful 410 VH formerly out of the Charles Price collection) I would love to find a VHE 410 stamped skeet in and skeet out-beavertail forend-single trigger with a dogs head buttplate or checkered butt with 90%+ case on the action. I know its a tall order but thats whats on my wish list for 2022!
