Maybe at least an asterisk for Hal Lyman, as I am not aware of his having written any hunting stories.
He was a SALT WATER SPORTSMAN magazine colleague of Frank Woolner, who wrote TIMBERDOODLE! and GROUSE and GROUSE HUNTING, and with whom he collaborated on fishing books, and is photographed and cited in Woolner’s bird hunting stories, albeit described as “lost without his 16-gauge English double”. But, he did own a Parker Invincible. |
