20ga CHE two barrel set

Personally, I prefer the other side with the Pointer:) I just received this DH 12 gauage last night.

Not much in the way of a "high tail" on these vintage Setters. The older Skitso has gotten the lower her tail has become.

if that's a 410 you are a very lucky guy.

the setters from a three dog very early DH - I especially like the looking back pose of the floorplate dog - also shown is the right side setter from that gun

and third - since no one has shown one - a German deep scene engraving on a JP Sauer & Sohn

It's important to include Lefever in any conversation regarding engraved setters. First is an early BE 16ga, second is a VERY Special - Special Order.

You can often tell Loy dogs by the circular shoulder joint. My grade 3 Ithaca is a Loy gun.

Kirk, astounding how similar your dogs are to my 3 dog dh on page 3.

What serial number is your gun?

Its 60068.

Mine is 58484...both very early dh's

2 of the ones I posted that are similar are 58807 and 58968. Most 3 dogs show up between mid 57ks and 60k serials. Then you have my 1899 gun I posted that is 91084, which while a 3 dog has the later style scroll work for a DH.

The 1st pic is from a 1911 DH 12ga. and the 2nd is from a 1986 DHE 28ga.

That is the first Parker I have ever seen where the setters are depicted with ticking! Wow!

Are they blue beltons or orange beltons... or perhaps one of each... or maybe tri-color beltons?

14 gauge 3 dog floorplate setter
 

This is a picture of the setter on the floor plate of a 14 gauge DH in the serial range close to the others. This gun is on a 1 frame and is a nice shooter. It swings nice and has nice wood. The serial number is 57793.

That is cool as all get out!

Super early hammerless gun......VERY nice! My DH is a 1 frame 12, as well, great feeling gun, but choked over the top tight.
