One thing Jeff...

Is it really chambered for 2 1/4” (two and one-quarter inch)

.

Jeff Kuss 03-07-2019 08:13 PM

Dean,
I have edited my post to show chokes are full and full.
As to the chambers, that is the information I was given.

Brian Dudley 03-07-2019 08:19 PM

That is a nice lifter!

Jeff Kuss 03-07-2019 09:11 PM

Dean,
We are trying to give forum members a chance to bid on this gun. It will have to be a max bid deal. I will bid them the night of the auction.
I am trying to put the research letter on, but I'm having a problem with it.

Dean Romig 03-07-2019 09:34 PM

Thanks Jeff - we appreciate your work on this.

Incidentally, I just traded PM’s with Mark Kircher and he believes the chambers must actually be 2 1/2 inches. He used 2 1/2” shells on the couple of occasions he shot it.... but he never actually measured the chambers.

Dean

Here is the research letter.

That Parker is from a small serial number range of Grade 2's where they were lifters but had game engraving like the later top levers. Best of both worlds. The lucky winner could shoot it in the hammer gun challenge and it should be perfect for that event

Joe Graziano 03-14-2019 02:57 PM

George, can you check on my ticket? I sent payment for one ticket but have not received yet. Much thanks! Joe

George M. Purtill 03-15-2019 08:10 AM

Hi Joe and others. We don't mail out tickets and haven't for years. When someone re-wrote my announcement that didn't make it.
Your ticket in the form of an official name badge will be at the door.
You are #11 on my list.

Mills Morrison 03-15-2019 09:27 AM

Your tickets are at Will Call

That's a good way to look at it. And it saves us a couple hundred $$ printing up fancy tickets that just get thrown away.
More money for the Foundation.
Your mementos will be your beautiful name badge and a wicked nice mouse pad.

Joe Graziano 03-15-2019 10:48 AM

Thanks, George!

Bob Decker 03-15-2019 11:30 AM

Is there a way to insure that my name is on the list? I paid but got no confirmation.

LAST CALL FOR HALL OF FAME DINNER ADMISSION

We finalized the menu and appetizer selections today. There will be 5 different hand passed appetizers and they are hearty selections.
But there are only a few days left to make a reservation with me. The badges have to be printed, the menu selections tallied and confirmed and the headcounts locked in.
I feel like I am planning a wedding!!!

And don't forget- we are there to honor our newest inductees: Jimmy Hall and John Davis.

BTW: my email is george.m.purtill@snet.net

Bill Murphy 04-12-2019 07:30 PM

Congratulations to James and John, and I'll have the whole grilled rockfish, stuffed with crab.

Jean Swanson 04-17-2019 04:03 AM

I will be seeing Winston Churchill this week to finalize the collection of his signed photos of his engravings/sculptures to be auctioned on the 26th at the Foundation dinner, along with his G grade Parker.

Will be seeing you next week
Allan

Dean Romig 04-17-2019 07:21 AM

Margaret and I had a great time at the banquet. Many thanks to the organizers for a great location and again, congratulations to Jim and John.

Joe Graziano 04-29-2019 06:40 PM

It was a fantastic weekend and very good time at the banquet. Most importantly, it was great to meet everyone.

Gun powder, cigars, steaks, whiskey, double guns and excellent company. Couldn’t be a better time. See you at the Vintagers!

Joe

John Bamonte 04-30-2019 10:19 AM

I had a fantastic time at the Southern Side by Side this past weekend, and especially the Hall of Fame banquet. The venue, induction ceremony and displays were all outstanding. My compliments to all involved.

Best to all.
John Bamonte
