Only 7 pgca mbrs shooting tomorrow?
|
Morning and Happy New Year. We got some messy wet snow overnight, about inch at my house in Dover so there is probably a little more in Barrington as it is further inland. Temperature is 40 degrees as I type so it is a fairly warm wet mess. I suggest some water proof boots for footwear. Skies will be partly cloudy, temperature will be near 50 deg at noon time. However winds will be 20 to 30 mph making wind a chill in the 30's and targets will be rather sporting. If you are coming I will see you there.

Cam and I will be there.

About 19 shooters today. Good turnout. Good guns. It was a fun shoot with all these nice gentlemen.

Well the 2019 NYD shoot is in the books. Thanks to the nineteen to twenty people who turned out and special thank you to those who brought us yummy things to eat; Dan Carter, Russell Cleary, Bob Weeman, Larry Frey, Bill Janelle and Dean Romig. As in years past the shoot grinds to a halt around the noon hour and things get quiet as everyone enjoys, venison stew, lasagna, chili, salad and cookies. Participants had nice soft targets early in the day but by the time we got shooting an Annie Oakley and 10 Gauge backup from 27 yards the winds were sending clay pigeons into low earth orbit. Here's a few pictures from today. Happy New Year all!

Hey Pete, you forgot my delicious banana bread!!! Ask Larry F. what he thought about it. I guess you didn't have any. LOL

Your bananna bread was fantastic! - did you really make it yourself? . |
Yes Dean, i made that banana bread myself. The secret to keeping it moist is a half cup of sour cream.
Regarding my feet, they finally thawed out by the time it got to Boston. And a big thanks to Pete for organizing the event. It was good to be with so many Parker gents. |
Dean, How did you do on trap with that DHE?

Good Morning Allen - The DHE shot exactly where I pointed it... In answer to your question, I didn’t do so well because I didn’t always point the gun where the target was going to be. . |
So Dean you are saying it really is the archer and not the arrow ? I refuse to believe that because then i would have no reason to buy that next gun.
|
Definitely the archer

I especially like the way Cam’s trigger finger is laid alongside the frame of his gun. It shows that he learned what he was taught and he employs it all the time.
