Sending an image by email in a minute George. I hope it is what you need.

Dean

Thanks for your responses. It appears there are quite a few people who would like badges. I will move forward.
When I get a proof that I am satisfied with, I will send out an announcement on this thread and take EMAIL ORDERS. Not PMs or postings to this thread. The reason for that is that I will need to cut and paste the names and towns to create a master list for the vendor.
I am still not satisfied with the image resolution but here is latest proof showing where I want the text. (If someone can cut and crop this image so it appears as a 2x3 name badge in the thread and not as an attachment, I would be grateful.)

Buddy Marson 05-09-2018 04:24 PM

George, that looks mighty fine! Thanks for taking on this project.
All the best,
Buddy

Kevin McCormack 05-09-2018 04:52 PM

Looks great George! The image can be reduced by resizing and cut & paste on a sheet of Avery Business Card forms. (That's How I did it originally).

Dean Romig 05-09-2018 07:46 PM

Nice job George!

Final Steps

I have approved the proof. I have asked the vendor about fasteners. They will allow me to chose from 4 fasteners but each type of fastener has to be in its own ordering group (more volunteer work for which someone will no doubt complain) but I will get the discount on the total order. So I am told.
The fasteners are as follows:
Clutchback-that is two push through pins- $1 upcharge
Clip- like an alligator - $.50 upcharge
Magnet- $1.50 upcharge
Pin- like a safety pin- zero upcharge.

I will be requesting the following be EMAILED to me for EACH badge you want:
First Name
Middle Initial if you want
Last Name
Town or City
State or Province
Fastener choice

I will only take these orders by EMAIL because I am going to cut and paste the text into an Excel spreadsheet to upload.
My EMAIL is : george.m.purtill@snet.net
When I get the full number of orders I will have a pretty exact price. The more the merrier. I will wait a reasonable amount of time for everyone to EMAIL me.
In the subject line of the EMAIL please write PGCA Name Badge Order
For those who can't remember- this is the proof:

Dean Romig 05-14-2018 07:01 PM

Nice work George!!

Anything but the magnet style. I don't think they could be trusted to stay on in a day of shooting and other activities.

Did I say I like the name badges?... I Do!

.

Wes Stueber 05-14-2018 07:56 PM

Great job, George! You can put me down for a pair of them, please? I must agree with Dean, those magnetic ones don't work well, at all....believe me!

Wes

Gary I don’t know what your post means but if it means you want a badge send me an email and I’ll get you on the order.

George M. Purtill 05-15-2018 07:03 PM

Fellows
Remember to send me an email. I am too old to scour this thread and find you. I want to order as many as I can the first time to get the best price for us.

My email is George.m.purtill@snet.net

Dean Romig 05-15-2018 09:27 PM

George, you didn't reply to my email of yesterday where I ordered three of them.

Did you receive it?

.

Brett Hoop 05-15-2018 11:47 PM

Two emails sent earlier today, one for each badge.

Many Thanks for the effort.

George M. Purtill 05-16-2018 04:56 PM

Thanks Brett and Dean-
As I enter your and everyone's data from the emails into my Excel spreadsheet, I will reply and ask for any clarifications.

I am slow and old and not very smart so it will take me a while to get it perfect.
Did I tell you I'm doing this as a volunteer?

Dean you have too much time on your hands. Go clean up your man-cave or I will post those pictures I took yesterday.
Answers: Won't know final price until I have quantity. They will be brought to the Annual Meeting for free.
Shipping will have to be worked on.
No plastic. Jeezzzzzz.
Don't ask me any more questions.

Am i the only one that looks at new posts, sees Edgar Spencer and goes to it first? I am always rewarded for doing so. And when George is involved it can only get better.

I have started my Excel spreadsheet and as I enter your orders from your EMAILS I am replying to you : "Got it" or "Got it x2" if your ordered 2, etc.
I have 50 to 60 emails so it's gonna be until tomorrow before I catch up.
I will post a list on this thread in a few days so you can see what I have and check spelling, etc.
Be patient with this old not very smart guy.

Is there a provision in your program to reply "Got It X 3" for those of us who have ordered three badges, each for a different person?

.

George M. Purtill 05-17-2018 11:46 AM

OK
I have quit my job and am now doing this full time.
I looked back at the posts to this thread and the following persons of interest have not sent me emails:
Brian Dudley
Wayne Owens
William Davis
Carvel Whaley
Alexander Sharpe
Loewensteiner
Chuck Bishop
David Dwyer

If you get away from your nursing home again I am calling the police.

Mills Morrison 05-17-2018 11:52 AM

You guys crack me up

Clip- like an alligator - $.50 upcharge

Gonna splurge for the "Gator Clip"

Just wondering if the guys at my golf club are going to understand this deal....

George M. Purtill 05-17-2018 12:10 PM

The Gator clip seems to be most popular with the guys from Colorado, Oregon and Massachusetts.

Swanson isn't cranky, he's Old Vermont, before it was annexed by NY & NJ

Dean doesn't walk off. The staff keep taking him out and dumping him. Kinda like an old cat. They just haven't gone far enough yet

:rotf: I was a very responsible adult until I met George. My first wife told me it was either her or George, so I got another wife, who likes George, kinda. a little...........come to think of it, I'm not sure.

Brett Hoop 05-17-2018 12:25 PM

Dean
You better send another email you forgot to order one for Grace. When you do please inquire about the S hook up charge for attaching.

Dean Romig 05-17-2018 12:33 PM

Absolutely Brett!!

I never even thought of Grace having a name badge.

Hey George..... Please don't call the police... I'd like one for Grace too, but with the Gator clippy-thingy. I'll send you an email confirming this order. I'll pay for Grace's though.... she'd only lick you all over and I know you had enough of that yesterday.
