More dogs got out. Just wondering who might need a shock collar. Jim

Dean Romig 09-19-2010 10:37 PM

That is just incredible Jim, what grade is that gun? What gauge and frame size?

Robert Delk 09-19-2010 11:08 PM

Holy cow! Really shook me out of my Sunday evening apathy seeing this gun. This is really and example of art and not just decoration.

David Dwyer 09-20-2010 02:26 PM

Jim
I remember that gun but must not have had my newest glasses on. That is the only semi relief Parker dog yet!!

I must admit, after drooling over some of the extreamly life-like dogs on the many Lefevers at Hausmans the two mutts on the side of this DH 28 gage leave much to be desired.

charlie cleveland 06-12-2011 07:17 PM

wish them mutts were mine.... charlie

Gary Carmichael Sr 06-12-2011 07:57 PM

Beautiful to say the least! Engraving on those guns are something to behold, but that's what I think sets Parker guns ahead of other makers, yea I know, I am going to get some feedback on that comment! Like they say at a strip show, show me more!

Hope you don't mind by my pictures of my model 12 with dogs because of all myparkers I have birds but no dogs. I guess I will have to step up and locate at least a D grade. Thomas

Mark Ouellette 06-24-2011 06:39 AM

Since someone let in all the stray (non-Parker :) ) dogs here's mine. An LC Smith Grade 5 from about 1895.

Here are some pictures of a few of my stray (non Parker ) dogs. The first is a very early Pigeon grade model 12 which is a two barrel set. Please don't black ball me from this site for posting pictures of a pump gun...:nono:

The second set are from a fine side by side. Lets see if anyone can name the model and grade.

Greg Baehman 06-27-2011 04:33 PM

Is the double a Philadelphia Arms Fox? Is it a C-Grade?

Dean Romig 06-27-2011 04:34 PM

I'll take a stab at a Philadelphia Arms Co. but I don't know the grades.

Dave Suponski 06-27-2011 04:42 PM

Jared, How about Philadelphia Arms D Grade? Am I close?

Jared Valeski 06-27-2011 05:24 PM

Philadelphia Arms D grade it is. I believe it is only D Grade PAC gun known.

Dave Suponski 06-27-2011 05:43 PM

Jared, Looks to be a wonderful gun! Congratulations! May we see some more pictures?.....please...

Here are few more pictures of the D Grade Philly Arms Co... Enjoy.

Easy to see why Ansley Fox had Patent infringement issues with the PAC guns. Or is that just an old unsubstantiated rumor?

I would like to think this Fox was in his hands for a little while.

Dave Suponski 06-27-2011 06:44 PM

Great pictures...Thank You! There looks to be some serious choke in that "Ol Girl".

Jared Valeski 06-27-2011 07:11 PM

Dave 3o" barrels that are both about as full as full can be. I had the ivory bead replaced that was broken with a period original. Other than that small detail, she's mechanically great and original, just like she left Philadelphia.

Dean Romig 06-27-2011 09:41 PM

Jared, that is a great gun and certainly one to be proud of.

It looks like Anschutz wasn't the only engraver who scratched out anatomically correct male dogs. And all along we thought Parker had the corner on that...:rotf:

Daryl Corona 06-27-2011 10:49 PM

A few more D grades
