Kind of off topic but to those few concerned, the Doc. said the leg is not broken, it is sprained (badly) like I told all you guys... Happy now......:cuss:

Dean Romig 06-08-2010 01:01 PM

I only hope you've got enough med'cine to get you out of pain.

Now if it hadn't been so slippery in your bathroom none of this would have happened.... but we won't go there :biglaugh:

Eric Eis 06-08-2010 01:08 PM

Dean good news was my ankle saved us 40% on the room....:rotf: I told the lady at the front desk look what happened with the leak in the bath and she called the manager and zip 40% off so I guess there is some good news in this injury.....

It's never going to heal, if you don't stay off it!
Shall I try and make arrangements for a putt-putt chair for the U.P. Shoot?

Dean Romig 06-08-2010 01:12 PM

Dave, don't forget the drink holders :duck:

Dave Suponski 06-08-2010 01:20 PM

I gotta give ya credit though...You didn't let it stop ya much....Good thing it wasn,t your drinkin arm elbow......:fg: Don,t expect any sympathy from this bunch....

On a serious note...glad to see you're on the mend...:)

Eric Eis 06-08-2010 01:29 PM

"On a serious note...glad to see you're on the mend... "

Not sure if I am on the mend or not but keeping it iced and up is about all I can do, I am damn glad you had that golf cart because if you didn't I would not have been shooting at all... Now if I can get this thing somewhat healed for the UP Shoot....

Eric,

Glad to hear its not broken but I bet it would heal faster if it was. Stay off it your retired:p. At least the U.P. shoot isn't the walking that Hausmanns was.

Bill Murphy 06-08-2010 09:37 PM

Sorry I didn't get to shoot with you guys, but I was glued to the tents and I only got out on the course once. Linda and my wirehair, Eva, got a real bang out of mud wrestling in the golf cart. Thanks for letting us "play through" your ten person squad. I have never seen that many shooters on a sporting clays squad in my life.

Rich Anderson 06-09-2010 08:30 AM

Bill,

We had incentive's being offered if you cleaned a station in the form of homemade chocolate chip cookies provided by Louise AKA Mrs. Romig:)

I am trying to stay off it and you are right Doc said I should have wished I broke it as it would heal faster:cuss: Son of a bitch it seems I can't do anything right....:banghead: Vickie asked me if I wanted to go to the UP shoot and I told her if I had to strap a 2x4 on my ankle I was going....!

Mark Ouellette 06-09-2010 12:48 PM

Eric,

Try the bucket of ice water but better have a few shots first!!!

Mark

Rich Anderson 06-09-2010 08:03 PM

Eric,

Glad to hear you have the right attitude...Damn the ankle...pull. We can always stop at Gladwin and pick up the mule. Now if you were 65 you could get a motorized chair....just something to look forward to:rotf:

Dean Romig 06-09-2010 09:35 PM

I shoot skeet with an old-timer who shoots from a motorized chair and he's almost as good a shot as Eric... See Eric, something to look forward to!

Eric Eis 06-10-2010 10:15 AM

Damn you guys are sure entertaining....:duck:

On another note just again want to say thanks to Danny Suponski for driving me around the course last weekend. Dave you did good...

Dean Romig 06-10-2010 10:26 AM

Let me jump right in here and say - Yes, Dave did good!! Danny is about the nicest young man I know and is a true pleasure to be around. Yeah Dave, you did real good buddy!!

Dave Suponski 06-10-2010 10:37 AM

Dean and Eric,When accolades come from your peers and people you have a great respect for it means something...:) Life is full of "Shoulda, coulda and wouda's but "Da Kid" is turning into a decent young man.And he's shootin pretty good to! Now if he can only develop his"Put away pitch".....

Eric Eis 06-10-2010 10:51 AM

So which gun (guns) are you going to give him for his graduation gift (remember this is a special event something along the lines of a small gauge C or above would be acceptable...:corn:......) Just thought I would throw that out so you could start saving....:rotf:

Dave Suponski 06-10-2010 11:21 AM

Eric,Danny graduated in 2008. He's part of the working world now. There are plans for a certain 16 gauge O frame gun for him. This way he can take his own Paaka into the grouse covers....

Eric Eis 06-10-2010 11:24 AM

C or better..... what part of the post didn't you understand.... come on Dave pony up to the bar..... (sorry couldn't resist...)

Dave Suponski 06-10-2010 11:35 AM

:dh: :biglaugh:

Eric Eis 06-10-2010 11:40 AM

We need Anderson in here......he'll guilt you....

Dave Suponski 06-10-2010 12:04 PM

Or...He could just send me that wonderfull 28" 28 gauge and I will give it to Danny.......Not!....:rotf:

Dave Miles 06-10-2010 12:40 PM

Anderson is on the road trying to make some money for the U.P. Shoot. :-)

Rich Anderson 06-10-2010 09:02 PM

All I made today was shell money:crying: I NEED gun money:duck: I think Danny needs a certain GHE 16 skeet gun that I was discussing with his father (Dave seeing as Danny has turned out so well a DNA test is required to prove parenthood:rotf:) just a few moments ago.

All this and the kid can shoot pretty well to.:)

Dave Suponski 06-10-2010 09:11 PM

Thanks Rich....I think....
