We should definitely shoot 10 gauge but those guys from the Granite State will kick our collective butts.

:bowdown::bowdown: Frank, You are my hero.

George M. Purtill 03-30-2016 11:23 AM

Thank God Stub Twist wasn't shooting those loads when he was shooting backup for me in that picture. I would still be coughing.
This is gonna be fun.

edgarspencer 03-30-2016 11:52 AM

It's going to look like Gettysburg

Dave Suponski 03-30-2016 12:11 PM

Ya Gettysburg with carrot cake......😑

Dean Romig 03-30-2016 12:23 PM

Oh Boy! do we have a promise of carrot cake?

.

Dave Suponski 03-30-2016 01:47 PM

"April is the cruelest month....."

6 am ....The Little River......26 degrees with heavy cloud cover.
Hmmm....did I ever patch that hole in my waders last June???
I fear the only things 'rising' Saturday will be Ad Roll's chestnuts!! :crying::banghead:

See you late morning. Earl Grey and crumpets at 10:30ish
Leave room for Ms. Lisa's brownies.

Dean Romig 04-06-2016 02:04 PM

Steve's coming??

I'll believe that when I see it...:rotf:

George M. Purtill 04-06-2016 02:09 PM

Toolie- look forward to it and I can always use any extra Mr. Brookies that you find foolish enough to take your fly. Best of Luck.

Very nice day at Addieville. It was great to see so many faces I recognized and make a couple of new friends. Dean, I love your setter! So many nice PGCA brothers and sisters and so many nice Parkers! Best to all. Frank Cronin - I'd like one of your name tags. PM me on details.

George M. Purtill 04-09-2016 06:09 PM

First, Thanks to Dave Suponski for organizing this again.
Second, it was the most attendees I have seen but Dave S. would know better.
Third, the NH boys were kicking butt as usual. Kittredge shoots like an automaton- that's a compliment Scottie.
Fourth, Stub Twist n/k/a "Apex" smoked us out with those 10 gauge BP loads that sounded like M-80s. I hope someone posts pictures of the clouds.

I was happy to see new faces and old friends.

Next year Corona promises to come.

allan.mclane 04-09-2016 09:40 PM

Tool Man is a real person... who knew?

Dean Romig 04-09-2016 11:08 PM

He is...?

Scottie- the score sheet says I beat you by two but I slipped Janelle a Fiver on Station 4. It was so good to see my Nurse last night. Milk, cookies and my new issue of Waterfowl magazine.

Dave Suponski 04-10-2016 08:06 PM

We had about 25 shooters this year which was nice to see. Along with some new faces. It was nice to meet all the new members that made the trip. The weather although a bit brisk was fine with abundant sunshine most of the day. The course was a bit tougher than years past as it was set up for a tournament on Sunday. I believe we all had a great time and thank you all for coming.

News flash!!!!!! Toolman actually showed up!!!! Can you believe it??? He actually ventured outside of Connecticut.
We talked him in to shooting that Fox gun at the five stand after lunch and all I can say is we want him to shoot for Team Fox at the FPCV at Rock Mountain come September.........:whistle::rolleyes:

George M. Purtill 04-10-2016 08:40 PM

I, for one, was happy to see Toolie show up. We had fun loaning him guns to shoot on the course, plus ammo. Toolie is not stupid!!!
I tried hard to figure out a way to separate Toolie from his nice Fox but I couldn't without a felony being involved. Next year I bet Governor Malloy will cancel our fishing season due to budgetary constraints so Toolie will be able to attend the entire event.

Although I wasn't there I am behind the scene providing technical support (mainly because it's easier to do it than explain how to do it). Here is a short video of Frank Cronin shooting his black powder hammer cannon at clay pigeons with Scott in the background cheering him on.

Whoever took this needs a new phone, the digital stuff is way better than this VHS :)

Frank Cronin 04-12-2016 08:57 PM

Thanks for posting this Pete!

Here's another look at "Crow-Nutz" fogging for mosquitos at Addieville. :rotf:
Sources tell me Frank's reports were heard as far south as Watch Hill.
What a cool Parker!!! Oh, strike that please, AHFCA rules don't allow........
