Yes thank you all for the pictures. I am so jealous because I have just started and only have like 4 pictures to hang nothing old and way cool yet.

nick balzano 01-14-2016 11:32 AM

all you gents have great "man caves". As a Pa. boy, really liked the marbles collection. I have a "cave" also, someday i'll take some pics.

I have a small 800sf house so the whole thing is my man cave. The cave within the cave is a 4'x4' closet.

Mills Morrison 01-14-2016 12:15 PM

Really nice, Dave!

Rick Losey 01-14-2016 12:29 PM

Dave - please tell me about the longrifle, I can't tell much from the picture, looks newer, mass produced or custom made?

It's a Pedersoli from Dixie Gun Works. I bought it in the early nineties. It was a reduced price showroom model with handling marks, etc. So, I refinished it, and did some extra stock carving to make it mine.

John Dallas 01-14-2016 01:27 PM

Boy, Do I have good memories of Elliot Island. A good friend of mine is Dave's neighbor. It's a hidden piece of the Eastern Shore's history. (and the duck shooting and soft shell crabbing aren't too bad either!)

I have spent some time over at Wingate, across the water from Elliots Island. I just love that area of Maryland. I wish I had the nerve to buy a piece of it. The Lovely Linda's father spent a lot of time on the top side of Fishing Bay where he enjoyed a duck club there.

I have never been east of Utah . one of these days if i can ever get the time off or come up with enough money would like to make it to the midwest and east coast. unfortunately very limited on time and money. heck it was a stretch and luckley Thomas (old geezer) let me pay him 300. up front on the parker i bought from him and pay him the rest a couple of weeks later.

I have very limited wall space so try to make the most of it for my interests.

Bill Murphy 01-14-2016 08:29 PM

Is that Muderlak's Sharkey squirrel poster or an original?

Yeah, it's black powder of course. It has a 2 1/4" bore. I found that a racquet ball is a perfect size projectile for proper windage. It has a powder chamber 7/8" diameter by 1" long. That much powder will launch the ball about 200 yards, ignited by fuse.

Makes my man cave look like a hovel.

Henry McRoberts 01-16-2016 01:26 PM

Craig, very nice collection of Illinois River decoy's. I also collect Ill. river decoys and calls as well as other birds that I just like.

Craig Larter 01-16-2016 02:16 PM

Henry: Thanks I really like Illinois River decoys and have concentrated on Bert Graves. I do have a few Delaware River and coastal NJ birds (both places I hunted ducks as a young man). I am lucky my wife loves the decoys and we display them in the main living area of the house. However, she gets equal wall space for her flow blue china collection. Happy wife, happy life!

That's a very nice collection. I will be lucky to own two doubles.

Dean Romig 01-17-2016 02:39 PM

Exceptionally nice Gary.

Craig Larter 01-17-2016 03:03 PM

Gary: Very very nice. I like the way you have your desk set up in the middle of the room so you can make use of all the wall space. You have a very impressive collection thanks for posting the pictures. It's always interesting to see how others display guns.

wayne goerres 01-17-2016 05:09 PM

Gary. I saw something in your collection that sure resembles a sharps.
