Dave, I'm bringing a sandwich for myself, what are other folks doing?

Good idea, Dean. I was going to bring a 10 pound carrot cake with cream cheese frosting for myself, but (A) a sandwich sounds so much more healthy, and (B) it's less likely to get stolen.

Dave Suponski 04-17-2015 10:53 AM

:whistle::whistle::whistle:

Dean Romig 04-17-2015 10:58 AM

Hmmm... carrot cake you say?

Kathy has threatened to make a chocolate cake that I can bring but a certain aficianado of her chocolate cake has threatened to play the "deperado" and ambush me on my way in...

Frank Cronin 04-17-2015 01:01 PM

Edgar, do you have anymore maple syrup? I'd like more if you have any. It is the best with Pannukkau. (Finnish Pancakes )

WHAT!!!!! Scores are NEVER inconsequential!!!! The nerve of some guys!!! I just spit a mouthful of java onto my monitor. And to think I shot my Parker DH today. :nono:

Carrot cake would be worth the 4 hour drive!! :)

Dave Suponski 04-17-2015 02:10 PM

Ya Mike I'll let ya know after I rob it.....again

Dean Romig 04-17-2015 02:29 PM

Or better yet Mike - make the 4 hour drive and find out for yourself..... and you can be the official scorekeeper. Oh and bring some of those prize belt buckles you showed us and award them to the top shooters at Addieville.

Thanks Mike for your interest and generosity

:duck:

Steve Cambria 04-17-2015 08:47 PM

You boyzz better hit the rack cause the only thing you'll be eating tomorrow is: TOOLMAN'S DUST.......imported direct from Philadelphia!!

Here's To "Diesel Smoke" Dreams

A.H.

George M. Purtill 04-17-2015 08:53 PM

Tool man
I hope you bring at least one A grade Fox so you can teach me about them.
Looking forward to see this crowd.
I spent the day playing hookey and loading shells.

john pulis 04-17-2015 09:08 PM

That makes two us. Spent the day loading for tomorrow. The Long Island boys are on the 6 am out of Port Jeff. Should be up there by 9 or 9:30.

Mike Koneski 04-17-2015 10:03 PM

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!

scott kittredge 04-18-2015 06:40 PM

What a nice day for a shoot, There were about a dozen parker shooters that showed up. I don't think any fox shooters were there but not sure about that:whistle: Frank took lots of pics and i can wait to see them :corn:

Dave Suponski 04-18-2015 07:41 PM

Yup we had a great day didn't we!! I,m still waiting for this "Toolman" guy to answer the phone. Hello Tool are ya there? Hello....hello?? Hmmm no Fox's present that I saw. How about the rest of you guy's?

George M. Purtill 04-18-2015 08:10 PM

Thanks

David- thanks for getting this day organized.
I had a great time and so did Charlie Purple.
The weather was fab, the shooting conditions gave us no excuses. Addieville is always a comfortable place.
And KUDOS to the Long Island boys for making the trek. With a 10 bore under lifter no less!! I KNOW they were carrying switchblades in their boots.

But I don't recall seeing any Fox guns at all.

allan.mclane 04-18-2015 08:42 PM

Dave, I second George's thanks. It is always worth taking the 2.5 hour drive to hangout with Parker People at Addieville, no matter what the season or weather.

Tell that tool-fellow that I used his commemorative T-shirt for patches to clean up my guns.
:corn:

edgarspencer 04-19-2015 07:32 AM

Allan, I think next time you shoot the course, you use the USCC gun. You definitely get the award for most improved. You were killing them at the 5 Stand.

Steve Cambria 04-19-2015 07:42 AM

Toolman's quandary:

On the left: 12 ornery Parker guys who smell like mushrooms and want to hurt me. On the right: A 5-Wt. Sage, a 70 degree, windless day and two miles of the "troutiest"-looking (and freshly stocked) river of my dreams. Hmmmm.

http://i646.photobucket.com/albums/u...N/j0314082.jpg

My apologies. I'm sure there was a river of tears shed over The Great One's absence. :crying: I beseech you, in the midst of your grief, try to imagine how much it will enrich our time together out at Hausmann's. Which reminds me..........:corn:

John Dallas 04-19-2015 07:52 AM

Stocked trout? Yuck!
You need a trip to Michigan's Au Sable. All wild fish. THAT'S trout fishing!

George M. Purtill 04-19-2015 08:03 AM

Tool man I really don't care about your supposed dilemma. However, you can redeem yourself by driving the 2.4 miles from your fox den over to my house and delivering me a freshly caught taxpayer funded trout today. I am at the Cape moving beehives this morning so please leave it in a cooler with ice.

Dave Suponski 04-19-2015 09:04 AM

Or.....you could have gotten your lazy butt out of bed.....fished till 8 am and then drove the hour to Addieville to spend the day with the mushroom boy's.

Cast and blast...whats better than that?

john pulis 04-19-2015 10:26 AM

A fun day with fellow Parker shooters at a great venue. The only drawback for us Long Island boys was not the trek but the fact that we had to hide our switchblades and boxcutters. We look forward to shooting with you all again and will be a Hausmans in June. Maybe earlier.

Dave Suponski 04-19-2015 10:30 AM

John,It was great fun meeting and shooting You and Nick. Maybe a trip over to LI to shoot with you guy's is in order. Okay.. now post up some of those pictures!

So much for stereotyping. I could actually understand their accent, but I did hear something about cinder blocks on the ferry trip across the sound.

Frank Cronin 04-19-2015 11:18 AM

Great time guys! Couldn't ask for any better weather for mid April. It was the warmest and sunniest I can remember going to this shoot. This event was a much needed break after dealing with record winter of 9 feet of snow! Hats off for Dave for organizing this event.

The morning started out a little rough for the NH boys. Got a frantic phone call, "Frank, Where are you?" Billy's phone directed him 45 minutes south near the mansions of Newport. I'm like, "Huh?" After a little help, they did finally show up. I still don't understand how someone gets "LOST" with a GPS?? Time for a new phone Billy?

Squad I shot with consisted of Billy Janelle, Scott Kittredge, Pete Davis, Chris Travinski, and 16 year old Ezra who was a pretty darn good shot!

At the end of the day, Billy was high gun who put on a clinic smashing birds with his 32" GH.

Where was Pete Lester???

FYI Charlie Purple just discovered that you do not go nose to nose with honeybees at the entrance to their house!!
Lesson learned.

Great pics Frankie! I like the way you count but I think Scottie had me by one. I'll get him next time!

Even so, that GHE fits you well and you shot an out standing shoot. You have come a long way in you shooting skills, from cow bird in the early 70's with our daisy BB guns to these great doubles! Maybe team Parker in PA. in June??? save some of that good shooting, don't peak to early.:) Frank, that goes for you too.
FYI, GREAT PICS!! i do love seeing wads and shot going to target!

Dave Suponski 04-19-2015 01:58 PM

Shot my best score in sporting ever yesterday. Shot an 80!

We took elocution lessons the week before to loose our Longe Guyland accents, but hid the cinder blocks under the back seat just in case.
