I love seeing pics of gun rooms/man caves/dens/studies - whatever you call them. I call mine The Museum of the Completely Unrelated, Mostly Forgotten and Largely Useless. A couple of shots...

One of its features is The World's Smallest Gun Room, pictured here:

I had arrived home one evening after working late to find serving platters, with Sterno heaters ,residing on my work bench in the man cave (as I was late for the holiday festivities). It was at this point I had the realization what had to be done.... :nono:. In the following days my loving Wife explained to me how things become inadvertently locked and the pros and cons of such hasty decisions... I guess a crock pot and hoppes #9 aren't that bad after all..:bigbye:

I had put these on here before but here they are again. Thanks, Frank

wayne goerres 12-06-2013 04:10 PM

Its hard to find some place to put those peskey gun cases. They are a huge distraction to an otherwise tranquil setting.

charlie cleveland 12-06-2013 06:44 PM

you boys shore got some fine gun rooms there..i enjoy this post greatly.... charlie

Mills Morrison 12-06-2013 08:25 PM

I'd send a picture of the room where the guns are kept, except it does not lend itself to photos. "Gun room" is being a bit generous. Hopefully, one day I will have one as cool as the ones shown on this thread

John Taddeo 12-06-2013 08:54 PM

Any room in this country of ours that keeps a gun is a grand room

wayne goerres 12-06-2013 09:29 PM

Just keep buying guns Mills. Eventually you will have enough funs to fill your very own Man Cave.

Mills Morrison 12-06-2013 09:48 PM

I have no lack of guns, just a lack of a good place to display them. They stay locked in the safe.

wayne goerres 12-07-2013 12:18 AM

Mine too but I am working on it as we speak.

chris dawe 12-07-2013 07:17 AM

David Noble 12-07-2013 02:09 PM

I'm not a trap shooter but I could spend a couple of days admiring items and absorbing the history there. Good job, sir.

charlie cleveland 12-07-2013 03:01 PM

mighty nice...charlie

Russ Jackson 12-07-2013 03:51 PM

This is mine ...a work in progress to say the least ,and looking at these I think I have way too much bare wall!

edgarspencer 12-07-2013 05:08 PM

We have a lot of musicians. My son has about a dozen dobros, I have 4 sets of bagpipes and a few harmonicas. Somebody got a hell of a deal from my ex when she sold my Steinway.

Russ Jackson 12-07-2013 06:26 PM

Chris ,Great Gun Room ,is that a Gibson Dove hanging on the wall ? My Guitar at the start of this thread is an Alvarez Dove model !

chris dawe 12-07-2013 06:57 PM

Thanks Russ, the guitar is a Epiphone knock off,the real one is a few years away for me ...my older brother is the real guitar man in the family,my favorite of his bunch is an old Gretsch country gentleman ,it has a fire branded monogram ,tooled leather wrapped around the body, and mother of pearl fret markers with various western motifs ,really neat guitar.

Russ Jackson 12-07-2013 07:56 PM

I have to agree with Edgar ,seems as we have a lot of musicians in the Parker Family ! When I was a Boy ,I used to play that old Guitar for hours every day even did a little pickin at the local Fairs and stuff when I was between 8 to 12 years old or so , I really have no idea why I lost interest but now a days I am lucky to pick it up a couple of times a year and when I do I'm lousy !!!!!!!!!!!!! Chris ,I have a Buddy that has a beautiful Martin ,an old one but he claims his Gretsch is his favorite !

James Brown 12-07-2013 07:58 PM

Looks like Mr. Fin2Feather has a D-28 or D-35 Martin hanging on his wall.

Harold Lee Pickens 12-07-2013 09:09 PM

I played for years, but then just got away from it after I got married at age 40. My wife got me guitar lessons for Christmas last year, and I continued with them--every Wed night. Favorite artist to play is James Taylor

Mills Morrison 12-08-2013 10:35 AM

My cousin, Harry, made banjoes and I always meant to buy one and learn how to play it.

A trap shooter with a sense of style and creativity; what's that all about?:bigbye:

Randy Davis 12-08-2013 03:32 PM

Larry, born under the right stars I guess... I know... probably not your stereotypical trap shooter of today.

Brian Stucker 12-08-2013 04:02 PM

All I can say is...WOW, ALL GREAT ROOMS! Some are actually museums in my view. Love to see more. Thanks for the enjoyable pics.

Just getting started on my man cave. This is what it looks like when Martha Stewart is involved and moves your scotch collection down with the guns. The side x sides are in safes behind the green curtains, along with a little bit of a mess, but hey it's a start.

Mills Morrison 12-08-2013 07:36 PM

You all are making me jealous. One day . . .

wayne goerres 12-08-2013 07:37 PM

Sweet.

Randy Davis 12-08-2013 08:13 PM

Mighty fine start Larry... Not much more a man could ask for...

wayne goerres 12-09-2013 06:09 PM

CL what is the jones underlever in the last photo.

Craig Larter 12-09-2013 06:19 PM

Wayne: You have good eyes!. It a beautiful (in my opinion) 12ga 30" Mortimer & Sons Jones underlever. I bought it a few years back at the CLA. It is listed in the Mortimer book and was made for the nephew of Mortimer. I have the original hard case. I am of Scottish descent and "needed" one Scottish gun. :)

wayne goerres 12-09-2013 10:17 PM

I only have one underlever and its a Boss But i do love the design. They are very strong actions. They make a classey gun.
