Big Friend,
See the picture above and my reply for barrel size. |
Larry, what does the printing on the barrel rib say? Should be something like "Parker Bros. New Haven Conn. Vulcan Steel " or might say Trojan Steel.
Also look at the Grading section onthis site. You will find it in the lefy colum on the home page below where you click to get into this forum. That should answer most of your questions. By the way, welcomee to the forum. |
Thanks Paul, it does say Vulcan Steel. I did look at the technical section and had most questions answered. Now just wondering what kinda of price we should ask, I am guessing not more that $500 the way it looks.

I agree.
|
I think you won't have a problem selling it for that price. I would be willing to buy it. But.....to sell it here you need
To become a member of the PGCA, not just a forum member. Your time and money, $40.00 to join will not be wasted. There is an amazing amount of knowledge in this group. As a paid member there are many benifits like buying and selling Parkers and everything from ammo to syrup, and anything in between. Friendships abound here.:bigbye: |
Yes. About $500 is a safe bet since this gun is strictly a shooter and has no collector value. The collector value has been effected by the restock and the all blued metal finish.
The fact that the stock is cheeked for a left hand shooter may hold back some potential buyers. Or maybe not. You never know. If I had this gun in my shop, I would remove the cheek piece to make it universal. |
Larry,
You answered that this Parker has a #2 frame. How long are the barrels? Mark |
Boys I'll buy them all day like this one for $500, you could get more than that for the barrels alone if they were sound.
Destry |
Looks like a left handed shooter to me.
|
Join PGCA put a price on it ,,You could always come down. This site does not allow bidding, but this would sell quickly. Hot blued barells might cause the ribs to come loose. This has happened to me more than once.
