Bruce, broke out mine too and headed back to Blackwell,Ok this week for work. Hoping to sneek off location to finish up the last 3 days of pheasant season in Okla. Brought the G 28" .005 and .008 for some Mr. Bobwhite and then the 1925 VH 30" FxF for the big bird. Just got to sneek off now, the dogs are looking at me while on location saying lets go,lets go.

Tom's question is my question too. I have used hevi-shot in a full choke Model 12 3 inch gun with no apparent ill effect. That was before I realized how hard HS is. I still wouldn't hesitate to use it on a cupped and locked up Canada if I had nothing else. The M 12 is not collector material. I don't think it is possible to destroy a M 12 unless you blow it up. I have never tried HS in a Parker. I plan on trying a 12 GH just like Bruce's w/ Nice shot to get a double on geese for a pin. We shall see.

I bought 10 boxes on sale and have two left. Seems to work fine. I picked up some boxes of the classic heví Shot but havent started in on that yet. All it does is go in one end of the barrels and out the other. Have to clean out the plastic wad streaking, thats all.

I have used HS in my VH12 for pheasants with no ill effects. Granted it's not Damascus but it worked great.

I shot Nice Shot this season with great results. Does anyone think there is a big advantage in using Hevi Shot as opposed to Nice Shot?

I have kind of a dumb question. In the 6th picture that Bruce posted at the beginning of this thread you can see the breech end of the barrels, dolls head etc... there is a dot or circle in the middle of the rib about an inch up from the dolls head. What is that?

Jack, That is the screw that helps hold the dolls head rib extention in place.
