A VH Grade 1 1/2 frame forend wood should be fairly easy to find. Fixing a crack may be the best option, however.

Unless your forend is completely trashed, it can most likely be fixed... and virtually invisibly -- at least by a pro. It will be MUCH cheaper than a new forend, too. I hesitate to suggest resources for this lest I be denounced as a shill.

If you are looking for a replacement forend, it is also important to note the length of the iron. There was some variation in the lengths. I have observed some iron tangs that are 4.5" long and others that are 4.75" long. The screw spacing on all are the same.
